Samhain ritual.

Normal circle casting as used in past with initiation etc. 
Call quarters as per usual, leaving a gourd and lighting candle (alternating black & orange) at each quarter.

Stand at altar, lighting white taper candles. 

Recite: On this night of Samhain
We mark your passing, O Sun King, (light god candle)
Through the sunset in to the land of the young.
We mark also the passing of all who have gone before,
and all who will go after.
O Gracious Goddess, Eternal Mother, (light goddess candle)
You who gives birth to the fallen, 
Teach us to know that in the time of the greatest darkness 
there is the greatest light. 

Take pomegranate

Recite: Behold the pomegranate, the fruit of death.
Blood pours from its skin as it dies. 
Inside, it contains the seeds of death.
I taste the seed of death (eat pom. seed)
Taste the seed of death (offer to others)

Take apple

Recite: Behold the apple, the fruit of wisdom and rebirth.
In living, we die, in dying we live.
I taste the gift of life. (eat piece of apple)
Taste the gift of life. (offer to others)

Leave rest for deities.  Recite: I offer this to you, our gracious lord and our divine lady.

Now it is time for divination and other workings.  Tarot, runes, scrying....

When finished
Recite: As our circle and our ceremony draws to a close,
We bid farewell dear sun, who warms the earth,
who with your light, brings joy & mirth
Close your eyes now, go to sleep
Rest peacefully in darkness deep.

Starting in the east, Thank the quarters, snuffing candle as thanking.
Thank Lord & Lady. 
Use Athame, and close circle like usual.

The circle is open but never broken
Merry ye meet
Merry ye part
and merry ye meet again.
