"To stand" is related to the words stasis, en-stasis, ek-stasis, dis-stasis, hypos-stasis, ana-stasis. All these words come from the Greek root "sta", meaning "to stand."

"Standing in the truth" is participation in the fullness of meaning. Standing in the truth is a prerequisite for insight into the (temporal) horizon of experience (NC II, 564). We can stand in the truth because we in our selfhood transcend the temporal "earthly" cosmos (NC II, 593).

To stand in the truth is the opposite of falling. Standing is a resting in the truth. It is related to enstasis, or true stasis.See my 2011 article, “Enstasy, Ecstasy and Religious Self-reflection:A history of Dooyeweerd's Ideas of pre-theoretical experience.”

Baader refers to the "words of the Saviour": "He did not stand in the Truth, since the truth was not in him.” (Philosophische Schriften II, 156, a reference to John 8:44) Baader relates standing in the truth to whether or not we participate in Christ.
