implicate order

The opening process opens up that which is already enfolded within our temporal reality. There may be a relation here to David Bohm's idea of an "implicate order." Bohm sees each momentary event as enfolding or "implicating" the whole of reality within itself. Physics has stressed the explicate order; now it needs to stress the implicate order. David Griffin says that sometimes Bohm speaks as if the whole that is enfolded in each event is not just the past events, but a nontemporal order in which future as well as past is contained. (David Ray Griffin (ed.): Physics and the Ultimate Significance of Time (SUNY, 1986).
