Please peruse this webpage which will detail my abilities to assist you as:
I have obtained experience from service as a technical sales associate, a computer consultant, an ISP technical support, a systems and network technician, and also as a technical design engineer within the consulting engineering industry.
This work experience has helped familiarize me with the many facets of the business environment. I have a well-developed understanding of project budgets and deadlines, understand production needs, and am familiar with the tools used to generate the desired results. Relating to computers today, I am adept with most of the operating systems in use today, especially Windows XP and 2000, and experienced with most of the business software packages.
I am intimately familiar with most of the hardware available, with how it works and why it sometimes fails to work as desired. I have a clear understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of all these hardware and software systems and how best to use each.
In addition, while I understand computer terminology, I prefer to avoid technical jargon. Most people find me articulate and easy to understand.
My highest priorities are to be available to support those I work with, to make sure I have the correct information ready to do so, and to document everything I do.
My current focus is to further my knowledge of linux, security, and network administration. I am always eager to improve my skills and I am a quick study.
I have been commended for my expertise in analysing and solving technical problems, for my ability to organize and flowchart systems, for my knowledge of the industry and understanding of its trends, for my effective written and verbal communication skills, and for my ability to learn new techniques and processes rapidly. I have efficiently supervised groups of up to five technicians, worked as a team member, and have worked well with the public, client contacts, and other professionals.
I am willing and able to travel as required for the job. I will consider contract positions of short or long term and am open to discussion of varied employment opportunities. I will supply references as required.
