MonkeyMedia Software develops online software for the food industry to manage customers, orders, production, distribution, and inventory. Their three product lines are highly customized for each client to meet their business processes.
As Account Manager was the single point of contact for all new national accounts. Developing and implementing the project charters, business analysis & requirements, project plans and technical documentation. At project completion was then responsible for ongoing relationship management. Also developed the intranet/extranet Sharepoint portal.
As the Senior Project Manager tracked and coordinated all scheduling and deadlines for a portfolio which grew from 10 to over 50 client accounts and team sizes varying from 10 to 20. Using the Agile methodology was required for the ongoing work with corporate clients, sales team, marketing, software developers, technical writers, and interface designers to deliver custom software, always within required specifications and deadlines.

Managed and directed numerous book and online projects. This entailed working with remote production teams of artists, authors, technical designers and publishing firms. The average project budget was $100k with a team size of 5-12. The “Make 5 Wishes” project, a 15 volume animated comic, was one of the top five downloads the summer of 2007 on iTunes.
Established and controlled project budgets and schedules. Designed and implemented a detailed process for the book publication work flow. Setup a virtual office environment for all project management, publishing work flow, file storage and business administration needs.

HSBC’s “e-Learning Centre of Excellence” (CoE) is their global provider of online learning and marketing. The e-Learning CoE is part of the global IT internal shared services organization. HSBC follows “Risk Based Project Management” which is a complex and regimented project management process.
The e-Learning topics range from technical software skills to project management and soft skills. Edutainment video games, on-line product demonstrations and marketing, virtual classrooms and labs and knowledge management are other popular projects.
Was responsible for the end to end management of all schedules, budgets and production. This includes initial client contact to final product delivery. The production pipeline contained an average of 16 projects at a time with budgets ranging from $25k to $100K. The average team size was 11 staff.

Managed the global rollout of Microsoft’s Sharepoint Portal to all offices replacing existing intranet solution. Scope included 30 servers in 6 locations worldwide. Contributing member of Microsoft’s Technology Adoption Program for Office and Sharepoint. This project completed within the budget of $1.25M in one year with an internal staff of 15 and an external consulting team of 6.
Redeveloped and launched the “Worldwide Build Tracking System” an intellectual property management tool. This involved a complete UI and workflow overhaul and a centralized support system working with contracted services in India. With a project budget of one million and a team of 15 this system tracks over a million discs and 15,000 users in 10 countries,
As Technical Lead and Manager deployed Tech Excel’s “Devtrack”, an issue tracking and reporting system, to eight studios worldwide. As Solutions Analyst and Architect implemented the replicated data architecture for reporting using MS-SQL to alleviate the load on this critical operations system.

Developed and deployed Internet IPO business plan for Lute Linux and took public on the TSX in 2001. Staffed and managed the design, development, marketing and operations teams. The project budget over two years was $2.5M with an on-shore team of 8 and 4 near-shore.
Responsible for the successful creation and delivery of a commercial Linux OS product. A full library of Linux training materials and courseware was produced for sale to educational organizations. Also managed technical writing and design teams as editor-in-chief of popular on-line technology magazine “ShowMeLinux.com”.
Designed and created web based computer based testing products for corporate clients’ specific training needs. This included a full testing suite for Microsoft Office.
As part of Linux Expo spoke as an invited lecturer at Comdex 2000.

Developed methods for Internet marketing as applied to the music industry. This involved establishing an Internet presence and creating on-line resources. Created one of the first and most successful web sites for the music industry that acted as an information source and communication area for fans.
Researched and created the concept and design of the first Enhanced CD introduced to the market. Sarah McLachlan’s “Freedom Sessions” was the first ECD to chart on Billboard and be awarded Platinum status. It has sold well over 5 million copies.
Produced over forty Enhanced CDs and web site projects which were created for various North American record companies. These projects earned over fifty Gold and Platinum awards. Managed media production, video production, sound recording, live web production, and art design for the Lilith Fair North American concert tour.
Responsible for the production of projects including storyboarding, programming, beta testing and mastering. Specialized in unique interface design and tight production schedules. The average project was one month. The internal team was 8 staff with an additional 3 production staff in New York.
