Mary celebrated her birthday on 15 August, yet her birth was registered on 07 March, 1884 and showed a birth date of 21 January, 1884. Her Christening record however shows that she was christened on 23 August, 1882. I believe that her birth was registered late and a date given that would avoid penalty for late registration.
