 600 Sq. Ft. Strata Unit

This Strata unit was a bare concrete shell when I first viewed it.
The only window lighting it was at the front. The owner wanted to
sell it and asked me to create a design for a one-bedroom home
that someone would want to live in inspite of only having one, albeit
huge, window on the front wall.

The images above show the first and second renderings created
to give the client a scale concept of a layout that would work
in space. The width of the unit was only 12 feet.

This angle shows the living room space with excellent natural lighting
from the wall of windows.

Moving inward, you can see the widescreen television set upon a
wide shelving unit. Together, they provide a strong focal point and
break up a large expanse of wall.  You can also see the start of the
kitchen with the stove top directing your view outward.

Moving further inward shows more of the kitchen.

Standing in the livingroom looking inward gives a view of kitchenette
on the right and the dining nook on the left. Notice the window above
the dinette. This window allows natural light into the bedroom.
Further back you can see the bathroom door set on an angle. This
positioning allowed for the most space possible in the bedroom.

The bedroom, while small, narrows 3 times on the right side
accommodating a queen size bed but narrowing where less space
is actually required.
