Kitten Sales Contract
Purchaser agrees that:
1. This Kitten/Cat will be cared for in the best manner possible at all times. This kitten will first of all be a pet, with daily human contact and interaction. It must never be caged alone for long periods. It will be fed a nutritious, complete diet, and will have fresh water available at all times.
2. This Kitten/Cat purchased will never be sold or given to any other person, people, agencies, pet store, lab or research facility, humane society or other organization without the written consent of the original vendor.
3. Normal veterinary care will be provided for this kitten. This includes annual vaccination for the common feline diseases such as FVRCP - feline rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia (usually given in one combination shot), as well as emergency and extreme requirements such as accidents or unexpected infections and/or other health problems. No FeLV or FIP vaccinations are to be given to this kitten. If the purchaser decides against this wish of the breeder, all guarantees are cancelled.
4. Buyer agrees that this kitten will not be declawed.
5. a. If the kitten purchased is "pet quality", the purchaser must spay or neuter this pet before receiving registration/pedigree papers from the breeder. Proof of such altering is required in the form of a certificate from a veterinarian, signed and dated, describing the cat in question and the procedure performed. Pet quality kittens may be spayed/neutered prior to sale by the breeder's veterinarian, at the buyer's expense.
b. If the kitten purchased is "show quality", the purchaser may show and breed the kitten/cat. However, the purchaser agrees that this animal will be bred only to a registered mate of the same breed and that this animal will never be used in a hybridization breeding program. The kitten/cat may be spayed or neutered at any time should the buyer decide to not breed it.
6. The purchaser of a "show/breeder quality" kitten agrees to attempt to maintain membership in an appropriate breed association, and to uphold and abide by the policies of that association.
7. A "Show quality" kitten will be shown in recognized cat fancy sponsored shows, if and when the purchaser is able to do so. An attempt to exhibit a show quality kitten to Grand Champion, once it becomes an adult, is expected.
8. The purchaser agrees to keep the kitten/cat indoors at all times unless in a carrier, on a leash and accompanied at all times by a competent handler, or in an escape proof enclosure.
9. The purchaser agrees to return the kitten/cat to the breeder if the animal can no longer be kept and cared for or in the event that the animal is no longer wanted.

This kitten is sold with a veterinary certificate of health, vaccinations appropriate for its age, and should remain healthy under normal circumstances when provided with complete care.
This kitten is healthy, and is guaranteed free from genetic or hereditary health problems for one year. If this kitten proves unhealthy or ill or should die due to complications from any serious health problem which is unknown at the time of sale, then the kitten originally purchased will be replaced with a kitten from another litter.
