RED CHUTNEY DIP

 

INGREDIENTS

4oz (1/2 cup) of grated fresh coconut
1 small onion chopped
2 teaspoons chopped cilantro leaves
3/4 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
1 1/2 teaspoons of fresh cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
2 garlic cloves
1 teaspoon sugar
3 tablespoons tomato ketchup
6 stoned dates
2 teaspoons lime juice
1/2 teaspoon salt

Put all ingredients into a blender or food processor and grind to a paste.

Serve with papadams and ENJOY! (Sweet and Spicy)
