I am a former Professor of Physics and Engineering Physics at the University of Saskatchewan. My wife and I retired to the Comox Valley in 1996 where we enjoy the good weather, superb scenery and the complete absence of mosquitos!

I indulge in my hobbies which are electronics, photography and amateur radio.  For the past number of years, I have been quite interested in proton-precession magnetometers and I have lost count of how many versions of the electronics that I have built
.  The theory and practice of these sensitive instruments is given in this paper.  The spreadsheet referred to in the paper is located here.  A sample audio file of the proton-precession signal can be heard here.
