Our Beliefs

As Island Bel Canto Singers we believe that: 

·        each member of the choir is important with a valuable contribution to make

·        it is important for the choir to perform well and strive for excellence

·        it is important that each choir member develops vocally and musically

·        we must support each other, our artistic director and our accompanist in our  respective roles

·        if we have fun at rehearsals and while we perform, our audience will also have fun

·        we have a responsibility to contribute to the cultural climate of our community

·        we must work together to ensure the viability and longevity of the Island Bel Canto singers 

Our Goal

Our intention is to create beautiful music in a relaxed and inspiring environment.  We aim to have fun while furthering our musical skills and striving for choral excellence. 

Our Mission

The Island Bel Canto Singers is a choir of the community, for the community.  Our aim is to achieve quality choral singing and cultural expression for the singers, while providing musical entertainment for audiences in the Vancouver Island area.
