By using this "Integer Number Concepts & Operations" notebook/workbook series, students spend less time copying and more time developing understanding and practising skills. Students will be more organized as their lesson notes and assignments are all in the same booklet. No more nagging students to copy out questions - they can show all of their work right in the space provided in the booklet.
Teachers, you will spend less time preparing as all the lessons are self-contained. Simply make an overhead copy of the student booklet and follow the suggested notes from the Teacher Resource Book. Along with extensive daily practice, supplemental worksheets (with mini review lessons) are provided for each major concept. Two unit end tests are also included. Answers to all homework, supplemental sheets, and unit tests are also supplied.
A concrete and pictorial method is used for all instruction. There are also plenty of mid-lesson practice questions to check student understanding. In conjunction with structured daily review and practice, this helps students to develop their understanding and increase skill retention. All of this helps to form a solid foundation of key integer arithmetic skills for learning algebra concepts in later mathematics courses.
