About Pender Island
Pender Island is one the Gulf Islands set between Vancouver Island and Mainland BC. The Penders, as the locals refer to the North and South Pender Island, is an ideal spot for hiking, golfing, scuba diving, fishing and boating, as well as sunbathing on one of the many secluded beaches on the island. A nine whole golf course is just five minutes from the cottage.
The Penders was once one island with an isthmus, which in 1902, was dredged to enable steamships to pass through. Today, the islands are joined by a bridge.
The island is well served with shops including a bakery, grocery and liquor stores, as well as a pharmacy. There are also several restaurants and cafes on Pender Island and a winery who offer wine tasting tours.
BC ferries operates a daily service to and from Pender Island from Vancouver. The ferry also runs frequently back and forth to Victoria.
The Cottage
This beautiful West Coast cottage, on Pender Island offers a relaxing break from the everyday routine. This light, open and airy cottage is just three years old and will sleep six comfortably.
With parking for three cars, the cottage is just five minutes from the ferry and is furnished to a high standard, with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, solid wood plank flooring and carpet in the bedrooms. The cottage comprises two bedrooms, two bathrooms (full and a two piece), kitchen, living room with propane gas fireplace and an in-suite laundry.
The main bedroom featues an extra large queen (queen plus) with views over the marina. There is a trundle bed in the second bedroom. Additionally, the living room has a double sofa bed.
Outside, there is a large sun deck with BBQ, patio table and chairs where you can sit and enjoy the views across Otter Bay Marina.
The serene and tranquil setting of the cottage make it the perfect getaway.
Otter Bay Marina
The Marina facilities include a recreation area, children's playground, two swimming pools, kayak rental and a meeting room. There is also a cafe and grocery store which opens for breakfast and lunch and where supplies can be purchased.
Public mooring is available for those who wish to sail/motor boat to Otter Bay Marina.
