VICTORIA JOINT SCOTTISH COUNCIL
The Victoria Joint Scottish Council is an "umbrella' group made up of various Scottish organisations in Victoria. One of its aims is to dispense information so that the various groups can support each other and try to avoid scheduling conflicts. To this end, the Joint Scottish Council 'publishes', on the first of each month, via email and regular post, a Schedule of Scottish Events. If you would like to be added to this email list, please email Irene ( kifeir@shaw.ca ). The Council is also responsible for sponsoring, through its members, some of the Scottish events which are held each year - the January Burns Memorial activities (heather-laying, concert and tea) and the April Tartan Week activities (proclamation of Tartan Day, Kirkin' o' the Tartan), and the wreath laying at the Cenotaph in November.
