Seto: Pharaoh… / Isis: Yes…

Isis: In this ellipse, originally was the name of the pharaoh…

Isis: But, someone carved away the pharaoh’s name, / and no only on this tablet but also in the palace and in the tomb. That is why there are no records of the pharaoh, / in other words, this pharaoh has been completely erased from the history of Egypt!

Isis: The anonymous pharaoh from three thousands years ago…

Seto: …

P. 4

Seto: What pharaoh? / Enough of your foolish talks! / The person on the tablet is Yugi! / How can he be a pharaoh from three thousands years ago?

Seto: You can’t even prove that this tablet is three thousands years old! / Any DNA from the people who carved out these tablets would be long gone! You cannot use carbon dating on these rocks!

Isis: Mr. Kaiba… / There is no need for you to be this emotional, if you calm down and have a look at the tablet, you may realize that this tablet also concerns you…

Seto: ….

Seto: Hm… / Argu…

Isis: The young high priest who faced the pharaoh / was summoning what looks like a dragon. He looks a bit like…

Seto: SHUT UP!

P. 5

Seto: Shut up!! Shut up!! Shut up!! / This is not scientific!!

Seto: Duel monster cards existing three thousands years ago is totally ridiculous!

Isis: In Europe, Antoine Court de Gebelin created the popular tarot cards from Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics. / Pegasus J. Crawford only followed his fate and created the Duel Monster cards.

Seto: Pegasus…!!

Isis: That is why, perhaps fate would also lead the pharaoh and the high priest on the tablet… / to the present, three thousands years later…

P. 6

Seto: Isis… / As the minister of Egyptian archaeology, if you invited me here just to talk about magic, and fantasies, then you are wasting your time! / I am busy and I can be using this time to work on my holographic machines!

Isis: I understand… / Seto: Then cut to your point!

Isis: Mister… / Do you know that Pegasus left a legendary Duel Monster card?

Isis: Please look at this!

Seto: …!

Isis: Anyone who can come into possession of these three cards,

Isis: Can become unbeatable, / he can defeat all duellists, / he can even acquire the name “King of Games”.

Isis: To prevent that I need to borrow your power… / Seto: ?!

Isis: Pegasus once said that creating the three God cards was his life’s biggest mistake… / Because these three cards contain the power God, they contain immense power…

Seto: Immense power!!

Isis: The one who obtain the three cards can use them to do much good, but he can also use them for evil… / If these cards are controlled by an evil heart, they can even take away lives… in a game, they can become the ultimate weapons!

Seto: Ultimate weapons!! / Can it be… these duel monster cards, have the power to do direct damage to the opponent, and possesses special power as said in the legends?

P. 10

Isis: Pegasus originally wanted to destroyed these cards himself, unfortunately he failed, / that is why he allowed these three cards to sleep in their homeland, deep under ground in the Valley of the Kings…

Isis: Pegasus entrusted the cards to the ministry of Egyptian Archaeology, they were placed separately in three different places in the Valley of the Kings. / However…

Isis: Someone stole them…

Seto: !

Seto: Even Pegasus was scared of their power, there shouldn’t be that many people who know of their existences, / so who stole them?

Isis: Ghouls… / Mr. Kaiba, I trust you have heard of them…

P. 11

Seto: Ghouls… / an organization that exist all over the world, an active organization that focus on stealing Duel Monster Cards! / They stole them?

Seto: Stealing cards and then selling them in the underground market, thus making large profits… / I heard they even secretly create fake cards and sell them for money!

Seto: Ghouls in Muslim folklore are demons that rob graves and feed on the flesh of the dead… / They are seriously a real-life version of those demons…

Seto: They stole the three God cards… / I cannot forgive them…

Isis: Mr. Kaiba… I need your power!

Isis: For the sovereignty of the Egyptian government and the last wishes of Pegasus J. Crawford, I wish to regain the stolen cards!

Notes

Yo everyone! You haven’t seen any translation by me for a while. I said I would translate the second part of Isis and Seto conversation soon in the last chapter but school was really busy and I had too many tests and projects to translate, but I promise I will pick up my pace in the summer.

This chapter is so wordy! I spend a long time to translate this chapter because I find some wording sort of weird. Another reason is that there are a few places that require some researches (Imagine trying to translate Antoine Court de Gebelin without the internet *shudder*).

Here is the full origin and definition of a ghoul, I think it is pretty interesting so I am going to put that here:
In Muslim folklore, the ghoul is a demon of the desert that is able to assume the shape of an animal. It is an evil spirit that robs graves and feeds on the flesh of the dead or on young children. They inhabit lonely places, especially graveyards. They also lure travelers into the desert, sometimes beguiling those travelers by prostituting themselves, and then devouring them. The Arabic ghoul of the wasteland seems to be a personification of the terror of the desert.

In any case I hope you enjoy the chapter.
