1986-96 - Sessional Lecturer, University of Regina, Department of Film and Video. Taught Film 100 - Introduction to Motion Pictures, a lecture class, for eight semesters, plus one semester each of Canadian Cinema, Documentary Cinema, and Film Theory, which are seminar classes.

1995 - Lecturer, Public Relations, University of Regina Extension. Taught Introduction to Public Relations and Public Relations in Volunteer and Non-Profit Organizations.

1994-95 - Communications Officer, Saskatchewan Council for International Cooperation, a coalition of 33 non-government organizations working for economic and social development in Third World nations.

1983-94 - Co-proprietor, Birdsong Communications Ltd., a company specializing in educational media production and communications for government and non-government organizations. Sold share in the business in Sept. 1994.

1988-93 - Regional Communications Consultant, Canadian International Development Agency. As Southern Saskatchewan representative, duties included public speaking and liaising with media, educators, and community leaders in order to gain more profile for this Government of Canada agency.

1988-89 - Curriculum Developer (contract position), Indian Communication Arts Program, Saskatchewan Indian Federated College.

1985 - Sessional Lecturer, University of Regina, School of Journalism and Communications. Conducted a fourth year seminar course on mass media theory.

1976-81 - Communications Officer and Editor, Public Relations Office, University of Regina. Designed and implemented programs for student recruitment, community relations, and alumni relations.  Managed publicity, special events and promotion campaigns.  Edited faculty/staff/alumni newsletter (circulation 14,000).

1975-1976 - Communications Officer, Prairie West Community College, Biggar, Saskatchewan.

1972-74 - Cinematographer, CFQC Television, Saskatoon (a CTV affiliate). Worked with news reporters and producers on news documentaries and commercial productions.  Covered more than 1,000 local and regional news stories.

1970-72 - Photography/Graphic Arts manager, CJFB Television, Swift Current (a CBC affiliate). Managed all film, photographic and graphic arts production activities for this commercial television station.

Insight, a publication of the University of Regina's Public Relations Office with a circulation of over 14,000. Edited over forty issues of the monthly publication between 1976-81 and authored articles on the University's activities in education, research and community service.

Fear on the Farm, a half-hour video program outlining the problem of domestic abuse in rural Canada, and pointing to some solutions which can be realized through a collaborative community response. Funded by Health and Welfare Canada, The Canadian Film and Video Fund, Secretary of State Canada, and others. In cooperation with the Canadian Farm Women's Network. The program also includes a 50 page study guide for use by small group facilitators.

Strangers, a half-hour documentary about the immigrant experience in Canada. With funding from the Saskatchewan Canada 125 Committee, STN Saskatchewan Television Network Incorporated, Saskatchewan Communications Network, SaskFilm and others. Telecast on STN (CTV Saskatchewan), Vision TV and SCN. Winner Best Educational Production, Saskatchewan Showcase 1993.

Ready, Willing and Able, an educational program aimed at exposing some myths about literacy in the workplace and promoting business literacy training. Funded by the Regina Public Library (Secretary of State, Canada).

Maintenance Management: The Four Star Benefits, is a promotional / motivational video produced in French and English for Public Works Canada. This fifteen minute program illustrates the value of implementing maintenance management systems in First Nations communities. Also includes bilingual brochure and users' guide.

Work Safe, a half-hour television documentary showing how workplace health and safety can be improved by occupational health and safety committees. Produced in cooperation with the Saskatchewan Department of Human Resources, Labour and Employment.

Not Bad Kids, a half-hour documentary for educational television. With dramatic sequences, the program shows how justice and social service agencies deal with young offenders in Saskatchewan. Produced with SCN for Saskatchewan Social Services, Young Offenders Program.

Taking the Challenge, a 15 minute promotional video documenting a number of successful Indian entrepreneurs in Saskatchewan. Produced for the Saskatchewan Indian Agriculture Program with funding from Indian and Northern Affairs Canada.

One World, ten half-hour television programs on development issues for the Saskatchewan Council for International Co-operation. Funded by the Canadian International Development Agency. Telecast on Saskatchewan CTV stations in 1987-88. Telecast on SCN in 1991.

Growing Up Bilingual, a 28 minute 16mm educational film for Canadian Parents for French. Received the award Best Documentary, Saskatchewan Showcase, 1985. (Writer, Cinematographer)

Jimmy's Game. A 30 minute 16mm action drama. Winner, Best Dramatic Production, Saskatchewan Showcase, 1987.
