Sir Isaac Newton (1642-1727)

Sir Isaac Newton
was arguably the greatest scientist ever to live. What is not well known
about him, however, was that he was a passionate student of the bible
and of history. He wrote over one million words of bible commentary,
most notably on the interpretation of Daniel and Revelation.
Although Newton
remained a nominal member of the Church of England, he did not agree
with many of its teachings. In "An Historical Account of Two Notable
Corruptions of Scripture", he showed that the King James bible
had been corrupted in order to support the Trinity doctrine. Personally,
Newton believed in one, indivisible God, and found the Trinity doctrine
to be unscriptural and illogical.
