It was noon when we headed for the beach. The waves were great for surfing, we were all having a great time, Maya and Alexis were sunbathing while Shandra, Lena and I were surfing the waves. We got home at five-thirty, and all got ready for bed early, ordered pizza and made popcorn for our movie marathon (a weekly thing in our household). We heard Maya call us, as we walked into the living room Maya said “There’s a message on the answering machine from Jim” Girls I am going away for a couple of days and I wanted to ask you if you could run the restaurant while I am gone. Please call me with the answer ASAP. Thanks Jim.
“Maya I think you should call him and tell him we’ll look after the restaurant for him, we owe him a lot” I said and walked back into the kitchen to grab some pop.

It was a very busy couple of days, due to running the restaurant for Jim but we owed him it. The day after Jim’s return we spent the day just lounging around the house, we never knew running a restaurant could be so fast paced, I mean we’ve ran it before but we only had like 10 customers tops. Surprisingly enough I was the first person up the next day, so I decided to make everyone breakfast. I had just walked into the kitchen when the phone rang; “hello” I said, “yes this is her” “today okay see you later” I hung the phone up. “Who was it?” asked Shandra who had just walked into the room, “work, and were going out to the islands today” I replied. “Why today, I thought we weren’t going till next week” Shandra asked, “they located a new group of dolphins and want to do a count, and take notes on behavior, you know the regular things we do” I replied, “when are we leaving?” “Ten o clock, but Jude is picking us up in about twenty minutes so let’s get ready”.
“Hey where’s Shandra and Zaria?” Lena asked coming into the kitchen where Maya and Alexis were. “The note says they had to go to work today” Alexis replied. “Oh well, what do you girls want to do today?” Lena asked.

When we got home the girls were all watching TV in the living room. “Hey, how was work?” they asked, “Good, we spent the day swimming with a new group of dolphins” Shandra replied, “cool, want to watch TV with us?” Lena asked, “No thanks, I’m going to go to bed” I replied, “me too” said Shandra, “but it’s only seven” “were tired, good night” I said, “night” they replied.

Lena and Maya had to go to work for a couple days, so Alexis, Shandra and I were mostly outdoors surfing, but the day they were off we rose early and headed downstairs “Jim we probably won’t be home all day” I said “thanks for telling me Zaria” said Jim “where’s the rest of the gang?” he asked “right here” they called out as they came down the stairs. “Where are you going this early?” Jim asked, “Surfing” Shandra replied “Okay see you girls later” we heard Jim say as we left.
Jim walked over to the counter to serve his next customer, whom looked like a businessman, not something you see in a fish’n chips restaurant. “May I help you” Jim asked “a coffee please.” the man answered. When Jim returned the man asked, “Were those your daughters?” “No, I wish though, their good kids, they rent the apartment above this restaurant” Jim replied “why were you wondering?” he asked, a bit suspicious. “Oh...I’m looking for some girls to play in a movie I am producing and I think it would be good to get new faces on the movie screens” he replied. “So you are thinking of asking them?” Jim asked. “Yes that’s what I was thinking” the man answered.

“So you’re asking us to act in your movie” Shandra said. “Yes we need new faces for the big screen” Timothy Jones replied. Timothy Jones is a movie producer and a very kind person at that. “It’s about a group of girls that reunite after 6 years, and the differences they now have rather than when they were in high school, I know it sound really corny but its not” he replied “So your all 25 right?” he asked “Wrong, I’m 24” I said. “Okay now that I’ve got that straight, here is the character you’re going to play and their lines, there should also be a schedule of filming times.” he said handing us all duo tangs. “So this movie is a chick flick right?” Alexis asked. “yes that’s right” he answered.

It’s been three months of filming and memorizing lines trying on costumes and all that stuff that goes with movie making. Tim says we only have a month more of filming then the movie goes to the editors then to the big screen; the movie actually looks interesting, when Tim first described it sounded so lame. None of the gang has been able to hang out with each other except for filming scenes, because we’ve been so busy learning lines and stuff. In a way I can’t wait to get back home so we can all hang out and talk and do all that fun stuff like have popcorn fights (a usual thing when watching videos) and pillow fights.
Tomorrow we go home, but tonight we have a going away dinner party (boring...z…zz…zzz…).

“Hey, Shandra, Alexis you guys want to go for a walk?” I asked “Ya sure” Shandra replied “Alexis what about you?” I asked again “are we allowed to leave yet?” she asked, “I’m guessing yes, because people already left” I replied and Shandra nodded in agreement. We said good-bye to everyone and left, we decided to take one last walk around the set before all of it was taken down. When we reached the set it was already three quarters taken down and someone was working on it, so we decided to walk back to the party the outdoor way. We were about to open the door when we heard a muffled scream, “did you guys just hear that?” I asked, “Ya we better go see” Shandra said. We ran back to the set just in time to see a person grab the set person and snap his neck, we all screamed and the murderer looked our way then took off. We stood there in shock, tears of fright streaming down our cheeks, until Tim and most of the people from the party showed up. “Girls what happened?” Tim asked “There was a guy here…working so we were going to leave…then we heard someone scream so we came back and…” Alexis stopped and burst into tears again, so I continued since Shandra was still in shock “And then we came to see what happened…. and there was a person…and he broke the set person’s neck…then he saw us and took off” “Did you see what the murderer looked like?” Tim asked, “no we couldn’t see his face he was wearing a hood” Shandra said finally recovering. “That’s alright, just tell this officer here everything you saw” Tim said, “When did you call the cops?” Shandra asked, “as soon as we heard you girls screaming” he replied and left. We spent most of the night talking to the police, and then of course Lena and Maya wanted to know what happened.
The next morning we all rose early hoping to get home as soon as possible, and to get away from the police officers because all they did was ask the same questions over and over. Alexis, Shandra and I were not very sociable for the next week you know having nightmares of the murder and stuff. Finally everyone was back to normal unless the murder was mentioned. For the next couple of months everyone was busy with work, and then Lena and Maya received a letter from the university they wanted to go to and they were accepted. So with Lena and Maya’s departure day coming closer every one was sort of down.

August 25th Lena and Maya left for California, so it was just Alexis, Shandra and I living in the apartment, which felt really weird. We went on with our regular routines did a lot of surfing and rollerblading; we couldn’t wait till Christmas because Lena and Maya were coming back for a couple of days.

It was one of the best Christmases we’ve had, probably because we cherished the time we had to be together before Maya and Lena had to go back to California. The day Maya and Lena left was very emotional because we won’t get to see them again until summer.

Alexis, Shandra and I were at the beach when a huge storm blew in the waves were way too dangerous to surf on. When we got home it started to pour down rain, we turned the news on: ‘There is a storm warning for Los Angeles, there is hurricane force winds up to 80mile per hour, everyone is advised to stay indoors and board up their windows, be sure to have a flashlight, lots of spare batteries and canned food because this storm looks like its just going to keep on coming. Stay tuned for further updates.’
“The power is going to go out with winds like that how are we supposed to stay tuned?” Alexis asked “We could see if the radio can pick up the channel, but it might not with all the interference” I said “ well it’s worth a try, Alexis go get the flashlights and batteries, Zaria get the radio, I’m going to go see what canned foods we’ve got” Shandra said “ what room do you guys want to stay in?” I asked “your room they both replied. We brought everything to my room that we thought we might need. We were playing cards when Jim came into the room “girls I’ve boarded up the restaurant do you need any windows done?” “No I think it’ll be fine, but thanks for the offer” we all replied. “No problem, see you later” Jim said as he shut the door.

About an hour later the phone rang and Alexis picked it up “hello?” she asked, “Hi, do you know who this is?” the voice asked and Alexis motioned us to pick up the other phone. “No I don’t who is this?” she asked “I love the sound of people screaming as you break their necks,” the voice said and Alexis hung up. “Oh my god, it’s the murderer” Alexis said in a very scared voice. “I can’t believe this, you know what it’s probably Jim playing a trick on us” Shandra said, “ I don’t think he is that sick” I said, “Well it could be the murderer trying to kill us because we saw him kill that guy” Alexis said getting us all on edge. “Well let’s pretend it never happened and go back to our game of cards, okay?” I said trying to calm all of us down. The power went out just as we reached my room. We calmed down after a while and were laughing and having a good time when my cell phone rang. “Hello” I said as I answered the cell. “Hi again, you know who I am, I’m the murderer and I’m going to kill you and your friends, even the two in California” the voice said. “Jim this isn’t funny anymore,” I said assuming it was Jim playing a trick. “This isn’t Jim, Jim is at home sleeping” The voice replied. “Prove you’re not Jim then” I said trying to sound unafraid. “Get one of your friends to call his cell while your talking to me,” the voice answered. “Alexis call Jim on your cell” I said. “Why?” she asked, “just do it Alexis” I said.

“Ya, who is this?” Jim said as he answered his cell.

“Oh my god” we all said at the same time. Click…. “It’s him, it’s the killer” I said “he said he was going to kill Lena and Maya and us” “okay we need to call the police” Alexis said “no there’s no point they can’t get here in this weather, they’d have to walk and then it might be too late, we have to take care of this ourselves” Shandra replied.

We wondered around the house grabbing things we might need in order to defend ourselves. The next hour past with no change in weather and no more phone calls (Thank god). We were in the middle of another card game when Shandra’s cell phone rang, we all tensed. “Hello” Shandra said as she answered the phone “I’m in the house” said the voice, “where” Shandra asked “I know what room you’re in and I’m coming to get you” the voice replied “where are you?” Shandra repeated, but the killer hung up. “Push the desk against the door” Shandra instructed, “Shandra what’s going on?” Alexis asked, “He’s in the house and on his way to this room” Shandra replied helping us move the desk. “What are we going to do?” Alexis asked “I don’t want to die” Shandra said “were not going die, we can get through this” I said trying to calm us all down. “Let’s just think this through, maybe we can come up with a way to get out of here alive” I suggested. We all sat down on my bed and went over all the ways of escape in the house, unfortunately my room doesn’t have a window big enough to fit through.

A half an hour later we started to wonder if he was actually in the house or not because we hadn’t heard any noise at all, when Alexis pointed out that my dragon pendant on my shelf was glowing. We walked over to the shelf; and were unable to take our eyes off the pendant until we heard banging on my door. We all snapped out of our trances, “Girls I know your in their, why don’t you let me in so we can get this over with as quick as possible” the killer said, “Girls don’t open the door” we heard Jims voice say “oh my god he’s got Jim” I said. “Jim here, was foolish enough to come check on you girls after you called” the killer said “I forgot Jim has caller ID” I said, all of a sudden we heard a gunshot outside the door. “To bad Jim had to die so soon” the voice outside said. We all burst into tears “it’s my fault; I shouldn’t have made you call him” I said. “It’s not your fault” Shandra said through her tears. “Why don’t you let me in so I don’t have to break the door down?” the killer said “we’ll never let you in” Alexis yelled “Then I guess I will have no choice but to break the door down”. Just then the killer started to shoot the door, we all screamed and moved to a safer spot in the room, but we were distracted when my pendant slowly rose into the air. “What the hell” said the killer who was looking through a bullet hole. All of a sudden there was a flash and then black, everything was black.

When I awoke I looked around my surroundings, lush green plant life loomed all around me, and I sat up and looked around for my friends. I found Alexis only a couple feet from me but I didn’t see Shandra anywhere, “Alexis wake up” I said gently shaking her, “where are we?” she asked as she opened her eyes, “I don’t know” I replied, “but we have to find Shandra” I said and Alexis nodded, I helped her up then we began to search the small clearing. I heard Alexis scream and ran over to her, standing opposite us was the killer still dressed in the same attire he wore when we saw him the first time. “Well, I guess its time to die” he said raising a hand gun, I was the first to react I kicked the gun out of his hand and grabbed it while Alexis kicked him in the stomach, he collapsed to the ground and we ran off as fast as we could hoping to run into Shandra on the way. “We should have killed him and gotten this over with” Alexis said “yes but we didn’t think of that at that moment” I replied. We followed an animal trail into a clearing and there was Shandra sitting on a rock. “Shandra” we yelled and ran over to her. “Where did you get that gun?” Shandra asked, “We beat the killer and stole it” I replied, “now let’s get going before the killer recovers” Alexis said, “What are we looking for? I mean we got sucked through a necklace and into another realm” “some civilization, I have the necklace, maybe they can tell us something about it” I replied and dashed off into the bushes.

It was late in the afternoon when we came out of the forest and into an open field, there were horses scattered around the field. We were surveying the surroundings when something startled the horses; we automatically took cover at the edge of the forest. We waited many minutes, but felt like hours then suddenly a group of riders burst out of the forest on the opposite side of the field. The riders were clad in all black; they were wearing black tunics with hooded- capes. Then I noticed the riders were formed in a circle around a rider on a huge charcoal black Clydesdale, they were also wearing straight black, but this person had their hood on covering their face. “Do you think their bad or good?” Alexis asked “I don’t know but black usually signals bad” I replied “not always, they look human to me so why don’t we take our chances and approach them, for all we know they could be the only civilization in this realm” Shandra said. We slowly emerged from our hiding spot and started to make our way across the field. “They look paranoid, as if something is all of a sudden going to jump out of the bushes and eat them.” Alexis pointed out. We were about twenty feet away from the riders when they noticed us, two riders slowly trotted up to us. “What do you want?” a red haired man asked sternly. “We don’t know where we are, we were sucked through some necklace into this realm” Shandra replied and both men burst into laughter, Shandra looked away embarrassed. Both men quickly turned serious when the rider on the Clydesdale approached. “It is not safe my lady, please return to the men” the other man a chubby blonde said. “I can take care of myself now leave so I may have a word with these girls” the lady instructed. Once the men were gone she spoke again “I know why you were brought to this realm, and the powers that necklace has” she said “we are being chased by another he is trying to kill us he was also brought through by the necklace” I said “may I suggest that you come to my village, you will be safe there” “we will gladly accept your offer” Alexis said “good I will call for some horses” she said pulling back her hood, she had crystal blue eyes and pointed ears making it obvious she was of a race of elves, her skin was a sort of bronze color.(it looked like a really good tan) She then said a couple of words in a different language, which we figured would be some sort of elvish. “Your horses will be here in very short time, and by the way my name is Sylvana” she said, “my name is Zaria, this is Shandra” I said pointing her out “and this is Alexis” I replied. “If you don’t mind me asking, what were you running from when we first saw you?” Alexis asked curiously. “We were hiding from a group of black griffons, they have been attacking small villages of late. When the horses arrive they will pick whom they will carry” she said trotting away.

Sylvana wasn’t joking when she said that the horses would arrive shortly, they were trotting up to us within minutes. Meanwhile Sylvana had been talking with her men about the black griffons, but when she saw the horses she came over. “Girls I would like you to meet Shadowrunner” she said indicating to a huge black Clydesdale just like hers, “and these two are Snowfox” (a white and grey spotted horse) “and this is Sliverfox (a white horse) whom is Snowfox’s sister” After she had finished speaking Shadowrunner slowly trotted over to me, while Sliverfox walked over to Alexis and Snowfox excitedly trotted over to Shandra and started to nudge her. I reached forward and stroked Shadowrunner’s muscular neck. I decided to call Shadowrunner Shadow for short. “I’m sorry but you are going to have to ride bareback for we have no extra saddles” Sylvana said. We climbed on to our horses and followed Sylvana over to her men. “We need to keep moving for all we know the Griffons could still be following us” She announced to everyone, then turned to us “we have a long ride ahead, we are not stopping” “where are we going?” I asked “to my home, a village called Moonray” she was saying when one of her men came galloping out of the bushes yelling. “The griffons have spotted us” “hold on” she said and we all burst into a gallop. We were going so fast it was amazing until we entered the woods the horses seemed to know where they were going, but branches kept battering us. We hadn’t been going for very long when I heard the beating of wings above us, Alexis was the first to lookup and Shandra and I only looked when we heard Alexis scream in fright.

We realized that ahead was another field, which would give the griffons an advantage to attack when we cross. We burst through the bushes and into the open field, everything was going fine and we were almost across when I heard Shandra and Alexis scream. I turned Shadow around in time to see them just miss getting clawed by two griffons who had landed. I galloped back to them and Shadow reared up and kicked the first griffon with his front legs, the griffon lost its balance trying to fight back and fell over which is when Sliverfox and Snowfox resided in stomping the creature to death. Now Shadow bucked and I grabbed onto his mane just in time, or I would have fallen off then I realized that he had kicked the second griffon, which sent him a few feet and landing in an unmoving heap. By the time Shandra and Alexis came over to Shadow and me the rest of the griffons were in combat with Sylvana and her men. We all charged into the battle and proceeded in kicking and stomping the griffons to death. Shadow and I had almost made it where Sylvana was fighting when I felt a sharp pain in my left shoulder, I screamed in agony as I fell from Shadows back, then everything was black, the last thing I heard was Shadow grunting and pawing at the ground. I hope he’s fine.

I awoke in a large room furnished in mostly white, I tried to sit up the pain in my shoulder forced me to lie back down, just then Sylvana walked into the room “How are you feeling?” she asked “better” I replied “your lucky Shadow took a liking to you” she said walking over to the bed and sitting beside me. “What are you talking about?” I asked “well when you were attacked and fell unconscious none of us could get to you, so Shadow protected you until the battle was over” she replied. “How is Shadow?” I asked “He is being tended to at the moment” “how badly is he hurt?” I asked rewording my question hoping for more info. “The healers can’t get close to him, and if they can’t get to him then they cant heal him” she said and gave me a hug as tears welled in my eyes. “Can I see him?” Just then Alexis and Shandra came running into the room, I hugged them then they turned to Sylvana “Shadow is still not cooperating, he is trying to get out of his stable now” Shandra said concern in her voice. “Just as I thought.” Sylvana said under her breath. “What?” Alexis, Shandra and I all said, “He somehow knows that Zaria is awake, we need to go to him” she replied. I climbed out of the bed as fast as my shoulder would let me. As we followed Sylvana I looked at my attire, I was dressed in a dark blue silk flowing dress, as were Alexis and Shandra except that theirs were in green and teal. “How are Sliverfox and Snowfox?” I asked. “They are fine now, they only had some minor wounds” Alexis replied. When we arrived at the stables I could see shadow moving around his stall restlessly. I approached the stall slowly, snap…. I stepped on a twig and caught Shadows attention. He quickly came over to the stall door, I stroked his neck while I examined him, and he had many gashes and a very large cut on his back. I left the stable a while later so that the healers could do their job, now that Shadow had calmed down.

I spent the afternoon with Alexis and Shandra; they recalled what happened in the battle while I was unconscious. They also showed me around the town, which was Moonray, but we got lost a couple of times since they had only arrived this morning. (They only knew where the important buildings were, since they had been messengers for Sylvana) when we got back to the stable to check on our horses, Shadow looked much better already, as did the others. We were sitting by a little pond talking when Sylvana came over to us, “Girls my father would like to talk to you” she said and indicated for us to follow her. We walked for many minutes before coming to our destination, which was a humongous house; it had vines growing up the outer walls, many windows and huge wooden doors with beautiful designs engraved into them. Two elves that looked like they were of the same race as Sylvana opened the door for us and we entered the house. “This is my home” Sylvana said as Alexis, Shandra and I examined the entry hall, there was a small creek running through the middle of the houses bottom floor which ended in a waterfall cascading into a small pool. There was a bridge that went over the river to the stairs, which we started to climb. At the top of the stairs there was a large window overlooking the town, the hallway split both to the left and right. We followed Sylvana down the right hallway until we reached another set of giant doors. Sylvana knocked lightly. “Come in.” said a voice from inside.
We opened the door and stepped inside, the room was full of light it had many windows which were all open, there was a set of doors that were also open that seemed to lead out onto a balcony but in the middle of the room there was a very large desk, of which someone was sitting at. “Welcome my daughter.” said the person at the desk as he came over and hugged Sylvana. “Girls I would like you to meet my father, Triand, King of the Moon elves,” she said, and we all just stood there in shock, Sylvana is a princess… “Girls are you alright?” she asked and we blushed out of our own stupidity. “It is a pleasure to meet you” I replied, and we all curtsied. “ I have called you here to talk to you about the necklace and to answer any of your questions” Triand said “now why don’t you girls have a seat” he said gesturing to the chairs in front of his desk. “So what exactly is this necklace and pendant do?” I asked. “Well it does many things,” said Triand as he sat opposite us. “For one it is the portal between your world and our realm” “second it has powers that change according to the person who posses it” “and the third thing that it does was discovered just weeks ago” he said, “What was discovered?” Alexis asked anxiously. “That necklace may be our only way to survive the chaos that approaches” “what chaos?” Shandra asked. “The black dragons, there are only two kinds of dragons left in this realm, black and silver” “so what happened to all the other kinds of dragons?” I asked. “most were killed by the black, the rest disappeared and were never seen again” said Triand. “What about the silver dragons you said they are still here,” Shandra said. “Yes they are the wisest of all dragons and our allies, they live in the caves of the Rian mountains” answered Triand. “Why do you think that this necklace can stop the black dragons from destroying this realm?” I asked curiously looking at the necklace; it had a gold chain and a silver pendant of a dragonhead. “It was said long ago that three great warriors would arrive, and with them they would bring the necklace of Sinabar the greatest silver dragon there ever was.” Sylvana answered. “Well were definitely not great warriors, we can’t even wield a sword” Alexis said. “We can train you, if you would like” said Triand. “So you think that we were sent here to save the world from black dragons” I said. “Yes” Sylvana and Triand both replied. “Okay well you are wrong, we are not warriors and I got this necklace from my grandmother, it’s a family heirloom.” I said. “You will learn to fight and the necklace only goes to whom it was destined to.” answered Triand. “So you’re saying that the necklace was meant to go to Zaria?” Shandra asked. “Yes that’s correct” “ok, then what does the necklace do exactly?” Alexis asked. “It’s like a summoning stone, using it Zaria should be able to summon Sinabar and he will recruit all the silver dragons to battle the black.” Sylvana answered. “I remember a story my grandmother used to tell me when I was little, it was just like this. There were dragons, warriors and elves. She used to describe it so well I could see everything like I was there. It wasn’t made up was it? It was my grandmother and her best friends wasn’t it?” I blurted out. “Very good, yes, you are correct, your grandmother was a great warrior here. She was elven, yes unbelievable right? Well she and her friends just like you three were brought here to fight. As she fought and began to believe she changed into her true form, a moon elf. Yes, your family curse they used to say. But when the war was over, your grandmother chose to go back to your realm. Therefore continuing the family ‘curse’.” Triand replied calmly. “Did her friends stay?” Alexis asked. “In a way I suppose, they died during the war.” Sylvana said softly. “Okay then when do we start our weaponry training?” I asked, Alexis and Shandra both gave me looks of you actually believe this stuff. “Immediately”

We had been training for three months, all day and everyday, when a messenger from a nearby village came with news of a sighting of several black dragons. That was when we were asked to go and see Triand. “Zaria I think it is time that you call upon Sinabar, if he does not come then we will truly know if your grandmother broke the curse, and if you three are the great elven warriors.” Triand said as we walked into his room. “So if were not the ones than we’ve been training for no reason? And were not elves!” Alexis said. “No we will still need your help. Your not elves yet!” Triand replied with a laugh, we just stared at him like he was crazy. “By the way how is your training going?” he asked after he regained his composure. “We have supposedly caught on really quickly, ” Shandra answered. “Well if were going to do this than lets get it over with.” I said, a little anxious to see the outcome. We all walked to the town center since it was the only area that would be big enough for a dragon to land in, that wasn’t outside town. I had no idea how to summon, so I just wrapped my hand around the pendant closed my eyes and whispered “Sinabar we need your help, please come”. “Did you do it” Alexis asked. “Yes” I replied. “Then we shall wait” Triand announced, to the people that had gathered around. Triand and Shandra were in conversation about dragons when Sylvana came running up. “We have captured a lone traveler.” she said to her father. “Bring him forth” Triand commanded. To soldiers came forth holding the man. Shandra, Alexis and I all screamed when he lifted his head, it was the man that was trying to kill us. “Girls what is wrong?” Triand asked. “It is as I thought” Sylvana said. “This is the man that tried to kill you girls isn’t it” she continued. We all nodded. “Don’t let him go” Triand commanded.
Triand was about to speak when we all heard the beat of wings, I looked skyward and there slowly descending was a huge and beautiful silver dragon. The dragon landed very softly to my surprise. I was only as tall as his leg. “You called master.” the dragon said in a deep but soothing voice. I stepped forward “You must be Sinabar” I said. “That is correct” the dragon replied looking around at the townspeople that had gathered round. Triand then stepped forward and introduced himself “I am Triand king of the moon elves…………” Triand was cut off by Alexis yelling at me to move, then I realized why as I turned around the killer broke free and lounged at me, but he was swatted to the ground before he reached me by Sinabar. The killer then proceeded in running towards the woods with the soldier’s right behind him. He had almost reached the woods when Sinabar flew over and stepped on him, there was a horrible crunching noise, then a pop as if someone had popped a balloon that I guessed was the killer’s body popping. (A very disgusting thought) The townspeople cheered for Sinabar when he landed in front of me again. “I am sorry that you had to see that but you must get used to it, its life” “Thank you for saving me” I said. “Not a problem it is my job, you are my master” the dragon replied. Then Triand continued explaining his plan to defeat the black dragons to Sinabar. Sinabar looked very amused by the idea, but I think the idea of just killing the black dragons was amusing for him. It was getting dark when Sinabar and Triand came over to Alexis, Shandra and me. Sinabar (Dragons blood) has agreed to lead his dragon clan into battle with us, as long as you girls ride your dragons” Triand said. Then Sinabar began “For example I would like Zaria to ride with me, as she has the necklace of my clan which makes her my master. Alexis your dragon is Zandra (helper of humankind), and Shandra your dragon is Ingram (Angel Raven).” “I would also like to know if you girls would like to meet the rest of my clan.” “We would love to meet them.” Shandra replied eagerly. “How long will the girls be gone?” Triand asked. “A few days.” Sinabar replied. Alexis, Shandra and I all looked at each other. Okay this is going to be weird, spending a couple of days with a dragon clan. “When will you all be departing?” Sylvana asked. “As soon as Alexis and Shandra’s dragons arrive, which could be mere minutes.” Sinabar replied. Wow this is so amazing I was conversing with a dragon. “We don’t know how to ride a dragon.” Alexis said. “Ah….I see,” said Sinabar. “King Triand, by any chance would you have couple dragon saddles?” asked Sinabar. “I believe we have a few you can use, although they are quite old.” Triand said turning to the two soldiers who were still with us, and asking them to go and fetch the saddles. By the time the soldiers had returned Zandra and Ingram had already arrived, Zandra was light silver almost white, while Ingram was beautiful dark silver. Shandra, Alexis and I were talking to the dragons while they were being saddled.

It was dark except for the moonlight when we finally took flight. It was amazing, flying over the trees and hills, wind blowing in your face the constant beating of wings it was so breathtaking to be flying on a dragon, those are things I only thought of as fairy tales before we were brought here. We landed on a ledge on the mountainside, the ledge then led into a cave. We unsaddled the dragons and with much effort managed to get them into the cave entrance. Wow, those saddles are heavy. We walked into the cave following our dragons. Torches along the walls lighted it; we continued to walk down the hall. Finally we entered a humungous room; there were dragons everywhere. The room could have fit twenty mansions in it. Sinabar stopped and I walked up beside him. All of a sudden he let out a really loud roar, I had to cover my ears and I saw Shandra and Alexis do likewise. Once he stopped all the dragons in the room turned their attention to him. “I would like to introduce you to my master, one of the three warriors” Sinabar said in a booming voice to project it across the room. “This is Zaria” Then Zandra introduced Alexis, “This is my master Alexis” and finally Ingram introduced Shandra, “This is Shandra my master”. “So you are saying that the rumors are true, that the black dragons are going to take over and these girls are here to fight them” a dragon said. “Yes, but personally we think that king Triand is wrong there is no way that we could be great warriors” I said stepping forward. “But if you want to live happily we have no choice but to fight for this land, so we are here to ask if you will help us fight for your land.” I continued. “What do you mean by ‘your land’?” another dragon asked. “We are not from here we are from a place called Canada, on planet earth” Shandra said. “We were sucked through some portal device necklace.” Alexis added. The room was filled with murmurs and whispers for many minutes before it was quiet again. “It is your choice to die hiding in a cave or die fighting for your clan and your home” Sinabar said and with that we followed our dragons out of the room and down another hallway, it was sloping downwards quite steeply. We continued to follow; a couple times we slipped and almost rolled all the way down. A while later we approached a pair of huge metal doors, Sinabar spoke a few words in a different language and the doors swung open. We must have stood there gaping at the mounds of gold and silver; there were armor to necklaces to gold and silver coins. Finally the dragons woke us from our zone and we followed them into the room. “Since you are warriors you must dress like warriors” Zandra said. “Now wait here for a moment, we’ll be right back” Ingram said and the three dragons started to search the room, we watched in amusement as Ingram tried to free his foot from a large vase. “Were back” we heard Zandra say as the dragons approached us. We stood up and tried to look awake but that was a difficult task. “Now we have chosen some armor for each of you, which we hope will fit” Ingram said. “You girls look tired and it is late, so I will show you where you will stay and we will try these things on in the morning” Sinabar said, and we had no objections. The room we were given to stay in was actually quite cozy, (obviously this was once a human’s room, no dragon could fit in here) half of the floor was covered in large pillows and blankets for sleeping. In the other half of the room there was a table and a couple chairs. We definitely slept well. (Probably because we had to jog and sometimes even run to keep up with our dragons) Zandra woke us in the morning by roaring loudly then quickly apologizing for almost giving us heart attacks. It was time to try on the armor the dragons had picked for us. I was surprised when the armor actually fit. My armor was black and silver it looked brand new; it was female armor and was quite comfortable. Attached to it was a long flowing black cape. Alexis and Shandra’s armor was almost exactly the same as mine except that their armor was bronze and silver and they had silvery-grey colored capes. Once we were dressed in our new attire we went to meet our dragons in the main chamber. I learned that the main chamber was the gigantic room we first saw. “Good morning” Sinabar and Ingram said as we walked in. “How does the armor fit?” Sinabar asked. “Perfectly” I replied. “Good, now we can teach you how to stay in the dragon saddle while were dodging dragon breath attacks” Ingram said. Shandra, Alexis and I all looked at each other as if they had just sentenced us to death; well technically fighting on dragon back is a death sentence.

“I can’t even think straight!” I said as I dismounted from Sinabar’s back. All the dragons present laughed. “Akkk…The world is spinning! I think I am going to hurl!” Alexis yelled as she tried to run for the bushes but instead ran into a tree, Zandra trying not to laugh guided the dizzy Alexis to her destination. “I don’t think we were meant for the whole spinning, diving, soaring, dodging thing.” Shandra said as she sat on the grass leaning against Ingram. Now everyone laughed.
“I was thinking…would you girls mind learning how to ride dragon back without saddles? It sort of restricts us, which could be fatal.” Sinabar laughed at the expressions on our faces, the ‘are you kidding’ look. “Well you have to get used to it, you’ll be very sore, even more than you are now. But it will help in the long run.” “What do we hold on to?” “Well we can tie a rope around our necks and under our arms, kind of like a harness. Not as restricting as a saddle and you can hold onto that.” “Why not give it a try!”

Once you have trust in your dragon friend then dragon riding becomes easy as riding a bike. Our three days are up, were heading back to Moonray to meet with Triand. Hopefully he has contacted some other villages and cities, were going to need one darn big army.
The young silver messenger we sent ahead to Triand came soaring towards us at top speed. “MOONRAY WAS ATTACKED BY A COUPLE BLACKS ONLY MINUTES AGO, I COULDN’T TAKE THEM ON MYSELF.” The young messenger yelled over the wind. We picked up speed; within minutes we could see the smoke rising from Moonray.
We landed right in front of Triand who was giving orders to do repairs. There was a handsome male elf standing at his side, also giving orders. At the dragons landing Triand and the handsome elf rushed their orders up and turned to us. “How long ago did they leave? How many were there?” I blurted out as quickly as I could. “Four but one had a rider, they left as soon as your messenger went to find you.” The young elf replied. “Zaria, Shandra, Alexis this is my son, Adain.” Triand said noticing our curious looks. “Are you going after the blacks?” We all nodded. Quite suddenly a Silver dragon, known as Rina also Sinabar’s mate, landed next to us. “This one is my master.” She said as she nudged Adain, who grinned.
“Hmm…so the legend is true.” Triand said quietly. “What legend?” everyone said at the same time. Triand clears his throat “I will tell you later, first you must catch the dragons that attacked our city!” We all realized that we had forgotten. Adain climbed onto Rina and we all gave chase. Thankfully the dragons had good sense of smell or would not have found them. As we closed in the black dragons turned to face our attack. Sinabar and I went after the black that carried the rider, while the other three went after the rider less blacks. We hovered about twenty feet away from each other; the evil rider was male, quite old with white hair but a strong aura of power, a wizard. “ Who are you pitiful human?” the wizard yelled over the dragons wing beats. Before I could answer Sinabar said, “This is Zaria, descendant of the warrior Riesha.” The wizard laughed, “this pitiful human can not be the descendant of the legendary warrior Riesha, Riesha was a moon elf not a human. This human has no aura of power, she most defiantly not a sorceress…” the wizard continued to talk, I leant down on Sinabar’s neck so that he could hear me easily. “What are you talking about? Who is Riesha?” “Riesha is one of the three legendary warriors, you, Shandra, Alexis are their descendants. Reisha is your grandmother! For hundreds of years their descendants have been transported here in a time of need.” “That cant be the wizard said she was a sorceress! Wait is this the thing Triand was muttering about before we left?” “No, but he should have told you about Reisha being a sorceress. Riesha, Miarra and Trisha were all human when they arrived in this world, they were just like you girls but Riesha changed, she transformed to what her heart really desired to become. She became a moon elf sorceress, we are still waiting for your transformation.” Suddenly Sinabar stopped beating his wings and dropped several feet, just in time. A flame breath attack from the black shot right where they had been only seconds before. Immediately Sinabar soared up underneath the black and sent a bolt of ice breath into its stomach. The black bucked and tried to claw Sinabar but was too slow. The wizard was swearing profusely. We flew straight up the black dragon following; I turned in time to see it take a deep intake of breath. I yelled at Sinabar to move. He arced left and pulled his wings in, dropping towards the ground. The blacks acid breath only met thin air. Sinabar again turned skyward and quickly realizing what we were doing I flattened myself against the dragons body. We smashed into the blacks underbelly; taking advantage Sinabar sank his teeth into the blacks side. I pulled my sword out and slashed the black dragons wing membrane. It screamed and fell earthward attempting to slow its fall with the one good wing but failing hopelessly, while the sorcerer on his back continued to swear between his screams. “It’s a good thing you found me a sword this morning eh?”
