1969 COPO
Chevelle
With the help of Mike Hepler in Kentucky, Helmut has found
this rare Chevelle. Mike is restoring the car on Helmut's
behalf back to its original Dover White paint, Black vinyl top, Red
bench seat interior with a column shift Turbo-400 transmission.
Mike also managed to track down and purchase the original
block which was separated from the car in 1984... As a result, this
COPO has been reunited with its original MATCHING NUMBERS L72 427
motor (factory rated at 425 HP).

This
is a fully documented RS/SS L78/M22 ragtop with 87,000
original miles. Records indicate this car was purchased new
at Woodgrove Chev Olds in Parksville, BC. This car had been
disassembled for resoration in 1980 and sat until 1994 when I
found the car in a barn in Kamloops, B.C. (thanks to a tip from my
good friend George). |

- originally equipped with some
very desirable options and backed by GM of Canada's bullet-proof
documentation.
In addition to the options
listed, it was found to have a correct dated and KO coded 4.88 posi
rearend which may have accompanied the L78 & M22 since new?
"So far, this car has
offered far too much enjoyment in the off-season to even begin
restoring it... "
