A student's Golden RetrieverUPDATE: I am now teaching classes in the Highlands, just outside of Victoria.  Our training area is fully fenced with the new gravel footing (recommended in the horse sport world).

I teach agility and obedience classes using motivational methods and clickers.  I believe in positive reinforcement for both the dogs and their human handlers, with an emphasis on keeping classes fun.  Any breed and age of dog is welcome, from puppies to senior canines.

During the Autumn and Winter, classes are on Saturdays, but during days with longer daylight hours, there are also weekday evening classes.  I also teach private lessons: from competitive agility tips to behaviour modification for "problem" behaviours to basic manners training for family pets.

Agility is a great way to teach and build on a dog's basic obedience.  It is self-rewarding for the dogs because they love simply doing it.  I teach classes for dogs and handlers with no experience to advanced classes for those wishing to compete.  We also have several drop-in sessions for those who have taken lessons with us or train with one of the local agility clubs but want some extra practice in a different environment.

Classes are held at in the Highlands (near Victoria), British Columbia.  If you think you might be interested in attending, feel free to come out and watch.  Please contact me, Sally, for further information on upcoming classes.
