Tag, Sprite and Rain on the Agility table -
February 2005

Northernlight's
Rainbow at HiTide CD HIC AADC* is our pretty
red merle girl born on March 15, 2001. Rain has been officially
measured at 16" tall.
Rain is out of Rocky Mountain Rose
by Ch. Patchwork's Bluegrass.
(Rain's Pedigree).
She is NAMASCUSA, ASDR and NSDR registered.
Rain's hip rating was .41 on both hips, which
means she was in the 80th percentile of all dogs rated by
PennHIP. (20%
were better than her; 80% were worse). Her eyes are cleared
annually.
Rain was retired from our breeding program and spayed in
2007. She continues to be my right hand girl and demo dog
extraordinaire. We are working on her Masters Agility titles, and
of course she is still the "princess" of the group as well!
* CD = Companion Dog, an obedience title; HIC =
Herding Instinct Certified;
AADC = Advanced Agility Dog of Canada.

Rain is often used as the
demo dog when I teach obedience classes.
She is easy to train and quickly learns new behaviours. She earned
her CD in three trials, including a score of 192. In Rain's first
Agility trial,
she received two second places with two qualifying scores. In her
second trial she earned two first places to complete her Agility title
of Agility Dog of Canada (ADC). Please see our
Training
page for information on our Agility and clicker training classes.

Keats' Ocean Sprite HIC ADC
(Sprite's Pedigree)

Sprite was born May 31, 2004. Sprite
came to us from Oklahoma, and suits her name well.
She is our resident clown, and always has a smile on her face.
It's hard to see though,
as she is usually flying by at 100 mph! We are having a lot of
fun playing at Agility,
though she complains a lot about how slow I am. She has a lot of
drive and will play
ball all day, but is a real couch potato in the house, which makes her
easy to live with.
Thank you Lindsey for such a fun dog!
At her first Agility trial, Sprite competed
in Gamblers and earned her first qualifying run.
In her third trial, Sprite earned her Agility Dog of Canada
title.
As expected, she is a fast dog!

Sprite's hips PennHIP results are excellent:
she is in the
90th percentile,
meaning that only 10% of Minis had hips better than hers.
She has full dentition and a proper scissor bite.
Sprite is ASDR and NSDR registered.

Charlie is a red tri with one blue eye.
She's 14-1/2"
tall and weighs 17 lbs.

Charlie: she's a brat! Lots of drive,
keen to work,
sometimes decides her way is better than mine...sometimes she's right.
:-)
Always ready for just about anything! She's an excellent babysitter for puppies as she is
gentle and kind,
and watches over them to make sure there is no trouble.

Sprite and her daughter Crush

Hi Tide's Crushed Velvet
She is so pretty and correct. She may not
have flashy markings,
but she draws a lot of attention
wherever she goes.

Crush is very quick and loves to play ball

Like her half sister Friday, this girl is sharp
as a tack, and I have to pay attention
or she is quickly outsmarting me. I love it!

Crush was born October 15, 2006. Her
mother is Sprite
and her father is Velcro.
Her eyes are CERF clear, and her hips have been x-rayed and certified
by PennHIP.
Crush has gone to live with my good friend Carli and her other Mini
Aussies!
Carli and Crush are competing in Agility and doing very well!

Hi Tide's T.G.I.F.
Although we hadn't planned on keeping Friday,
we are so glad we did!
She knows what I'm thinking before I do, is very eager to work, and
is an amazing problem solver. Friendly, confident, and biddable.
Agile like a mountain goat, Friday provides us with endless hours of
entertainment.
Update: Friday has moved to Alberta with our
friend
Lyn. They are practicing
Agility, and Friday has lots of opportunities to work their sheep
and run with Lyn's other Aussies.

Hi Tide's Tag You're It HIC -
October 2005
Tag has been retired from our breeding program
and is living the good life
with my friend Lynne Luckow in Wisconsin. She is continuing
her Agility training,
and has been trialing very successfully! I can't thank you enough
Lynne,
for being everything Tag has been waiting for!
July 2008: Lynne and Tag competed in the USDAA
Regionals in Illinois, and
qualified for the USDAA Nationals!!
(Only dogs and handlers who qualify are invited
to the prestigious National Agility competition).
Tag's hip rating with
PennHIP put her in the 90th percentile
of all Miniature Australian Shepherds.
(10% were better than her; 90% were worse).
