At Hi Tide Kennels we are striving for the complete Miniature Australian
Shepherd: excellent temperament, sound well-proportioned structure,
and biddable personality. Our dogs are active in Obedience, Agility and
Herding, as well as being family pets. We use only positive reinforcement
and clicker training, and our dogs are fed a natural, raw food diet.
We are located in Victoria, British Columbia, on
the west coast of Canada,
and we are able to ship puppies across Canada and the United States.

Gin's litter. Five boys
were born on September 22, 2009: four blue merles and one black tri, some with

The Miniature Australian Shepherd is a scaled down
version of the Australian Shepherd. It was created by breeding together smaller Aussies, not by
cross-breeding with a smaller breed. Today's Australian Shepherds range
in size from smaller working lines to the larger, flashier show dogs.
Interestingly, the Miniature Australian Shepherd is in many ways closer
in size to the "little blue dogs" which came with flocks of sheep to the
United States and later became known as the Australian Shepherd.
