we like it that way!)

– A former business & music teacher, Barb now works as an executive
assistant. She does the arranging and some of the composing for our
group. Her hobbies are music, stained glass, reading
– Candace keeps busy as a mom and a part-time
business assistant in a dental office. She likes to stay active,
travel and sing.
– Helen, one of the songwriters for our group
(and mother to Barb), is an interim member of Highest Praise.
– Marcia is a speech-language pathologist who works part-time for the David
Thompson Health Region. She also keeps busy with her two children
and assisting with her husband’s business. She
enjoys playing the piano, singing and outdoor activities.
Elvira Gascoyne –
Elvira teaches grade two in the Wolf Creek School Division. She enjoys
spending time with her family, singing, reading and
– Lauralyn has always loved to sing, though she never sang publicly (unless
part of a group) until after she graduated college.
Now she has the
privilege of singing solos, duets, with Highest Praise and with a 150-voice
Carol von Gunten
– Carol teaches at
Sylvan Meadows Adventist School. She loves music
reading, and is taking a course on writing children’s literature.
Singing in Highest Praise is a total spiritual uplift for her.
– Janet lives near Sylvan Lake. She
is the Assistant Education Superintendent for the Alberta
Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
hobbies are singing, reading and walking.
Patsy Whitehead Glatt
– A little girl at heart, Patsy currently teaches English at Canadian
University College. Her hobbies include translating "dead" languages,
drawing, cooking, and backpacking where there are only small bears.
Grovet – Wife of one,
mother of four, “Grammy” of two! A secretary
in the School of Education
at Canadian University
College, Julie enjoys the challenges of a busy office and the
satisfaction of helping people. Her hobbies include sewing, music and
high school teacher. Currently stay-at-home mom to daughters Samantha
and Jessica—her most rewarding and challenging teaching job. In her
spare time she likes to garden, cross-stitch and sing.
– Karen is
instructor at schools in Lacombe and Ponoka.
