The Heathens Mountaineering Club is a group of about 100 outdoor enthusiasts from all over British Columbia (and neighbouring provinces and states). Activities enjoyed by our club members include hiking, mountaineering, rock-climbing, skiing, kayaking, diving and cycling. Our club was formed in Campbell River in 1985 to promote the enjoyment of outdoor pursuits and an appreciation of BC’s natural environment. The Heathens club provides its members with a chance to explore recreation opportunities near their communities, and to develop a strong sense of personal responsibility for the environment while strengthening their own abilities in their chosen pursuits. |
