There was nothing spectacular about Smithers. They are trying to be the "alpine village" of BC, but the real charm of the town is in its simplicity. It looked good and it felt right. I just loved the place. After this point, we drove to get home to Vancouver, sleeping the intervening night at Quesnel. The trip south is treated under the section on "Around Vancouver"
