In the middle of this cold frozen landscape one finds the Liard River Hot Springs, with a superb campground right there. I found a very red-boiled gentleman bobbing in water that was way to hot to get into. He suggested we start at the cold end and work our way up to where he was. We never even got close!  The only negative aspect in this area is the mosquitos...quite predictably...after all, be reasonable!
