A plane passes overhead on its way southeast at sunset. The island in view is the highest freshwater island on Earth. Atlin Lake itself is pretty big to start with. Clearly floatplanes represent the major form of transportation in the area,  and we watched as a gentleman filled up his plane from a jerry can, helped a lady into the cabin, and happily took off into the sunset.
