| I live in Vancouver in British Columbia, on the West Coast of Canada, in a little suburban village called Deep Cove at the foot of the snow-capped Coastal Mountains. I am deeply in love with Deep Cove, BC and Canada and with the Canadian people. And, yes, it is true that British Columbia must be the most scenic place on the planet. But somewhere in the background beats a steady drum and, you know, some nights I could swear that I can hear the deep distant roar of a lion and the laughter of an hyena in the veld...and in my dreams I still move nearer to the fire and try to see the frightening shapes in the dark....because I was born in Africa...and it is a part of my life. |
