Type of Memberships

The band maintains 4 main levels of membership.

What Does it Cost?

There are no tuition fees for members of the Band. All reeds, partial-uniforms, and most other costs are covered by the band.
Alumni members - no charge. Active members pay $5.00 per year, and reserve/playing members pay the regular $25 yearly membership fee set by the band executive.

Commitments

Membership in the band means a commitment to the band.
There will be a the time commitment of 30 to 60 minutes of practice each day, plus the weekly band practice (2 hours), for all members.
There will also be a commitment to help with the fund raising initiatives of the band. It is the fund raising that cuts down on the costs for the band to compete and to attend the various parades and functions.

Benefits

The benefits of membership in the Heather Belle Ladies' Pipe Band are:

- association with one of Canada's finest all Ladies pipe band
- exposure to Scottish culture and arts through competitions, performances, and special events
- travel within Canada to Highland Games
- personal development and self-esteem building through positive group experiences

Band Practices

The Heather Belle Ladies' Pipe Band practices Thursday nights at 7:00pm at the Royal Canadian Legion on Osborne Street, and/or at Balmoral Hall School.
