Pipe band musical treat for vets.

EX-ROYAL Marine William Peacock was back in the front line when the heather-Belles stages a friendly invasion at Erskine Hospital.

The all-ladies pipe band from Winnipeg, Canada treated the ex-servicemen and women at the hospital to a special musical concert. They dropped in to entertain the Erskine residents during their trip to Scotland.

The 35-strong band, which was formed in 1950 by a Scot, had a great time playing and dancing for the 84-year-old former Buddie William and his comrades.

And afterwards the foot-tapping old-timers agreed the order of the day should be — "Come back and see us anytime!"
