Hello and welcome to the Unofficial Fansite on the 1977-79 ABC-TV series from Universal City Studios dedicated to the fans of the show!!! On January 30th of 1977 was the day the series hit the screen nationwide and aired every Sunday night at 7:00 pm as the show alternated. One week it was "The Hardy Boys" and the next week it was "Nancy Drew" Then when season two came around sometimes they teamed up together solving mysteries and it was the first time they ever did even in the juvenile pocket books which gave authors of the later novels an idea to do the same thing. "The Hardy Boys" however won over audiences than "Nancy Drew" and Pamela Sue Martin was disappointed that she did not have a show of her own anymore and dropped out when TV producers decided that Nancy would team up with the Hardy's for the rest of season two and was temporarily replaced by Janet Louise Johnson till the season was over. Then during season three it was just "The Hardy Boys" on it's own and the producers tried to make it appealing to adults like it did with "Charlie's Angels" or "Six Million Dollar Man" but the series lost alot of their viewers as well as a writers strike occuring then and the plug was pulled during half of season three on January 14, 1979.
