Full membership includes registration to Edmonton Thunder and Athletics Alberta (AA), coaching, training facilities, entries to AA sanctioned meets, eligibility for club awards, and scholarship recommendations. Edmonton Thunder is a community based, not-for-profit minor sports association committed to developing and promoting the sport of athletics in Edmonton since 1994. The club is affiliated with Athletics Alberta and provides training and support to athletes competing in cross-country running, indoor and outdoor track and field.
Our goal is to help each person acheive their personal best, developing their athletic abilities to realize their full potential.
We do not have tryouts, and accept anyone ages 6 and up, working with young people who are eager to improve. For more information contact us.
Mini-Boltz (Ages 5 - 14) - Mondays & Wednesdays @ 4:30pm at the Kinsmen Centre
Junior/Senior (Distance)- 5pm Tuesdays &Thursdays @ 5pm from the Kinsmen Centre
Sprints - Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays @ 6:30pm at the Butterdome
Dr. SunRun Roadracing Clinic: Mondays & Wednesdays@ 5:30 from Kinsmen Centre (top of the stairs)
Open practise each Saturday at 9am from Kinsmen Centre - meet at the top of the stairs.
