Theset With The Carpenters, Counting Heartbeats, Italian Edition, And Blind Eye @ Fernwood Community Center -- Jan 20, 2006

Alright, sooo Curtis and I went mainly to see Counting Heartbeats, Italian Edition, and Theset. I must say, they all rocked! Everything was great about it except the fact that it was an all ages show, sooo I had to lay some elbows into those kids. But other than that, it was sure a great night!! We missed Blind Eye play, but oh well... I've seen them once already, and they were ok. So we didn't really miss anything. The whole day was seriously all about music, which made it even better! ... Rock on. Unfortunately the lighting at Fernwood is always crappy... Hence the "not-so-good" picture quality...

	Italian Edition. They had a great sound to them. As Curtis said "they sound like The Strokes except more agressive". I sure liked them.
	Counting Heartbeats... That's my friend Josh! They sound wicked (as usual). Great rhythm changes, and just a solid sound to them. Great musicians, great stage presence, great everything. They have such an original sound. Hats off to them!
	The Carpenters were next. There was nothing special about them, but they still have a solid rock sound to them. A chunk of the drummer's cymbal was actually missing, so that was pretty sweet.
	Theset.... Great melodic melodies. Love the effects used on the lead singer's voice. They got this one song which was just REALLY driving... Like... Really heavy. Made people go nuts. LOVE it!!
	And that was the night... Gotta love the local music scene in Victoria... Keep it up guys!
