Electronic Concert @ Phillip T. Young Recital Hall -- Nov 19, 2005
This was an amazing concert! Lots of experimental stuff! Not that many people would actually appreciate this kind of music....

The night started off with a computer laptop ensemble (LUVLEE - Live University of Victoria Laptop and Electroacoustic Ensemble). From left to right is Adam, Jennifer, and Kirk (my MUS307 prof). It was pretty sweet. They used accelerometers, which is a sensor that senses for tilt, and any kind of movement, and the computer will play a sound accordingly. |

Next was George!! (my former SENG 310 prof). His sax was connected to his laptop. I think he used a harmonizer so it sounded like it was in real-time. It was crazy, I guess certain things triggered different effects? |

Andy (former MUS 207 prof) played a radio drum which deals with 3D space. He either hits the pad or waves his sticks around to make certain noises.. It's pretty crazy. |

Now my fav performance of the night! Ajay was playing the sitar, and Manj was playing this drum instrument. It was amazing! There were censors on the sitar that replaced the strings. And they had accelerometers on their heads to make music and whatnot, it was intense! Gave me goosebumps just hearing them... |

Graham played with accelerometers while being accompanied on the piano by Jamie. |

Then the last performance of the night: Erin... She had sensors all over her body, so she pretty much danced and made music according to her movments, it was pretty sweet. Reminded me of Bjork. |

And to top off things, it was still foggy in Victoria! So I went around and took some shots. |
