• October 11, 2005: Several Red-breasted Nuthatches seen at the Nanoose Naval Base.
• First half of October, 2005: One or two Red-breasted Nuthatches at a time seen at Marina Way.
• Christmas Bird Count, December 17, 2005: 105 Red-breasted Nuthatches.
• January 11, 2006: 4 Red-breasted Nuthatches heard at Dolphin Lake.
• January and February 2006: Red-breasted Nuthatches heard and occasionally seen at Marina Way.
• Red-breasted Nuthatches can be heard or seen any month of the year at Marina Way and in other residential parts of Nanoose Bay.
