I will however give my opinion about the various subjects. My intent is to provide stimulating thoughts and ideas. Most of all to challenge values and beliefs.
This sites sole purpose is directed towards supplying information to assist people who want to make changes their lives no matter what the past. Far to often people just want to collect information about their "PROBLEM" This site is about tools that make changes that are lasting.
There are many different approaches to making life changes and there are many people who have very good intent, however most often they fall short of the latest technological developments to be effective in providing tools for their clients to make changes.
Most often the person has the good intent in wanting to help the other person over come their difficulties and spend countless hours in an attempt to help get the problem over with or behavior changed to no avail or very little change. Talk therapy does have a measure of change but for most part very little is actually changed. most often a reasonable compromise is made and the person just learns to how cope. the deep feeling has not been altered, and that is really what change is all about.
Knowledge changes very little if at all.
Enhancing our awareness
So what is the key to making change in behavior and habits. The most important prerequisite is on the part of the person who wants the change. Many people want change and have spent countless hours in therapy, self study and have gathered a vast amount of information about what it is that is bothering them. They are able to give all the verbal descriptions and jargon of what ever it is that is causing them to dislike them selves or what they are doing.
So how do we get change that is lasting and permanent. In the most simplest terms it is the changing of the meaning of a significant experience. This change happens by knowing HOW the brain process information. What it is processing is a different matter.
We can have the most terrible of a up bringing yet for some it only spurs them on, while others succumb to the treatment they experienced. We have all heard many stories relating to the above statement. So what avenue can we take to start to make those changes we deem “BAD”. There are two avenues that can be used to be effective. One is to go from the mental side and the other is through the physical. So what is the mental? It is the changing of an internal picture, sound, feeling, taste or smell. (called modalities) It is the changing of the meaning of these representations at the time of conception that will cause a shift in consciousness. So NLP or any other method that causes this change will effect a change. However the person who has the “so called problem” is the only one that can do the change.
By using a method that will go direct to these modalities and changing them even slightly will cause some change. A one time learned event will usually be changed instantly, or if the person had been attempting change for some time it may just be the straw that broke the camels back so to speak, when some part of the modality has been altered there is always some change. The notion that once a brain has been stretched it will not return back to the same position. Also that the brain can not, not process information. The expression “do not think of a pink elephant” or any statement being heard or seen, expressing a negative, the brain has to process it in order to make sense of it. Once that is done it becomes a part of that persons consciousness, it gets filed according to that persons values and beliefs.
So what causes us to be who we are? It seems like a complicated hodgepodge mixture, genes, DNA, society, peers and the list goes on, so the question is not who we are as that lends its self to some thing we are doing and what we are doing is not us. It is rather an expression from us, about us.
To know who you are or I am requires a sense of perceiving, knowing what a person does (doing) or expresses is not them. (SEE POEM) To know or “experience” the other person requires a state of mind where just being silent inside and allowing the perception (or knowing) about that person to come into consciousness. There is or are no words, I have to express how that happens (yet). When it happens it is just experiencing their being(ness).
So then we look at change from another point of view and that is the physical body. It has been my experience over the years to have learnt that the brain will store emotions in the body. There are many forms of massage that will cause the body to release emotions. There are some you use very gentle touch such as CranioSacral which uses no more than the weight of a nickel or about 5 grams of pressure. Then there is the other end of the scale which simply bears down on the holding point. This intense pressure causes a person a great amount of physical pain, once the body lets go or stops the struggle the emotion and all its pain is gone. Most often the brain will no longer reference to that spot. This also has to do with acupuncture points as life force energy blocks, releasing the block by hold the point causes the block to let the energy flow through the meridian again, re-establishing life force in the body.
