About Guy Babineau

Guy Babineau is an author and journalist
who writes for newspapers, magazines,
broadcast, and online publications (see
list below). He is a regular contributor
to The Georgia Straight, Canadas largest
independent weekly, for which, as well
as cover stories and other features, he
writes Mannequin, a popular mens fashion
column.
Babineau is an engaging storyteller who
has published short fiction in several
literary publications. He is the author of
a well-reviewed story collection, Channel
Surfing in the Sea of Happiness, and
an educational CD ROM for schoolchildren,
Dreamcatchers: How Megan and Danny
Untangled the Web.
An experienced interactive writer and web
content developer, Babineau conceived
and
edited U, an online zine about pop culture.
He has been a story consultant for TV, and
has conceived and edited several corporate
and cultural newsletters.
Babineau grew up in Vancouver. He has
lived in Toronto, Montreal, New York City
and Fiji. He has an Honours BFA in Theatre
from York University, and holds certificates
in multimedia and publishing.
He is currently working on a novel and
writing the text for a book of provocative
photography.
