At the forefront of automotive cleanliness, we have Hybrid Electric Vehicles which due to their excellent engineering and systems, manage to be the cleanest and most efficient vehicles available to today's consumers.

Hybrid vehicles come typically in one of the two most prolific hybrid technologies:

HSD - Hybrid Synergy Drive - Developed by Toyota

You'll find this system on all Toyota hybrid vehicles, and a similar system is also employed by Ford (in the Escape SUV) as well as Nissan (in their Altima Hybrid).

IMA - Integrated Motor Assist - Developed by Honda

All Honda hybrids manufactured since 1999 employ this system with varying degrees of sophistication and capabilities.

There are other manufacturers who have employed a similar system (BAS) but with much lower sophistication, success and results (GM in their Saturn View SUV).
