Honda Civic Natural Gas Vehicle- The greenest vehicle available to the consumer (may not be available in some Canadian provinces).

Basic Specifications:

Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) 1.8-Liter i-VTEC(TM), I4, 16-Valve, SOHC, MPFI Engine; Front Mounted With Horsepower Of 113@6300 and Torque Of 109@4300, Alloy Block and Alloy Cylinder Heads

Advantages
  • Nearly 87% of U.S. natural gas used is domestically produced
  • 60-90% less smog-producing pollutants
  • 30-40% less greenhouse gas emissions
  • Less expensive than gasoline
  • Can be refueled at home
  • Ideal fleet vehicle with smaller operating ranges
  • Mechanically simpler than the Civic Hybrid
Disadvantages
  • Limited vehicle availability
  • Extremely small cargo space (trunk) as the CNG takes are stored behind the rear seats.
  • CNG is less readily available than gasoline & diesel
  • Fewer miles on a tank of fuel
  • Not ideal for long
  • Level of interior equipment is comparable to that of the Civic LX trim level.  Some EX and Hybrid options are not available
