Clean Diesel

This is an exciting new development that foretells of a great future for Diesel powered vehicles in North America.  Unfortunately, current and past Diesels had only two major benefits (excellent fuel economy and a long engine life cycle.  Sadly, their emissions are generally very poor, so much so that they cannot be sold in many US states.

However, many manufacturers have committed to a lot of research and development aim at developing cleaner running diesel engines that will meet the emissions ratings of today's gasoline power vehicles.

At the moment we cannot endorse any clean diesels because many are not yet available for sale and those that are (i.e: Mercedes) rate very poorly in quality and reliability.

Nevertheless, we're very excited that Honda is committed to clean Diesel technology and their push for this technology will only accelerate the rate of progress and acceptance of Diesel powered vehicles in North America.

Please stay tuned for news upcoming models coming in 2009.
