| Where is my Old Graham? |

I was interested in finding my old Graham which may
be in California. I bought the 1935 Graham Supercharged Eight Model 75 in North Hollywood, CA in 1962. The person who sold it to me claimed to be the second owner and the original owner was Donald Douglas Sr. of Douglas Aircraft in Los Angeles. [though he said Jr. but Jr. would have been a teenager]. I used to drive the car from the San Fernando Valley to the China Lake Naval Air Station throughout1963. What a great car, you could talk to a passenger in a normal tone of voice while traveling at 65 - 70 mph! A guy kept pestering me to sell him the car so he could market it to a local collector (Glendale or Pasadena?). I sold him the car finally, and never heard of it again. I tried to buy Historical Vehicle Plate for it in 1963, however the DMV Clerk in the Ridgecrest Office was so old that she took offense to a 1935 car being historical. She refuse to sell me the plates. If you could post a "Where is my old Graham" listing for me as an ex-owner with sellers remorse, I would appreciate it. My father owned a 1938 Graham in Jacksonville,
Florida in the years 1956 -1957. He gave it away because the spark
plug would not stay in the flat head eight cylinder engine. I do not
have any records to help me find the car. Do you know how I can find
the owner or where the car may be? Address of where the car was
registered was 1818 Shelton Road, Arlington, Florida. It was
registered in the name of Edward H. Lewis.
Thank you, Marie Lewis

Hi, My wife Wendy and I are the proud new owners of a this 41 Hollywood street rod. I would be happy to communicate with other graham owners and we hope to be involved with Graham meets in the future. We live in Baja California Sur, Mexico, about 700 miles south of San Diego so you won't be seeing us often but would like to get in touch with anyone who might have a little history on this car. We bought it from a dealer in Atlanta Ga., It was apparently restored and modified in Florida. It has been made into a two door with excellent workmanship. You are welcome to post me on the owners web site. We are new members of the Graham owners association and look forward to getting to know others who like this type of car. Thanks, Ron Bellerive/Wendy Wilchynski |

I just traded for a 1941 Graham roadster customized...this car has been in several magazines and was supposed to be built in the late 40's or 50's,the car has 41 Lincoln tail lights, filled grill in the hood section.1949 Criscraft windshield, headlights relocated to the center of the front fenders, doors have been cut down on the tops, the owner told me the car was bought new buy the previous owner new and then wrecked in 1948 on the right front, then the car sat for a few years before being customized. After that it sat in the back of the a body shop for 25 or so years before being resurrected by Jim Dence of Largo Fl in the late 90"s. Thanks for any help that anyone can help me with as far as history or pics. Also the car may be for sale or trade for something interesting. |
