SWISS MISS 1938

The classic duo Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy worked with Charles on two occasions and by his daughters' account, were very fond of the wee Filipino in the gorilla suit. Although Gemora only made a brief appearance in this feature, as always, his presence is memorable. Below is the comedic bit in it's entirety.

AT THE CIRCUS 1939

The Marx Brothers were yet another comedy team to harness the comedic talents of Gemora. This trailer has a wonderful shot of Charlie charging the camera full tilt, wildly swinging his furry arms. The picture resting above the site links up on the far left, was drawn from one of a few stills featuring Harpo with sizable harp and Charles Gemora hamming it up beside him.

ROAD TO ZANZIBAR 1941

Charles appeared in two ROAD films although his role in ROAD TO UTOPIA had Gemora playing another beast - a bear! This movie also marked his second encounter with Bing Crosby. He previously performed with the crooner back in 1933 in SING,BING,SING a comedic short.
