King Solomon

First appearing in Tom Strong #1, Alan Moore once again pays tribute to Silver Age DC with a talking gorilla. Solomon was the result of Strong's experiments in brain surgery modification, endowing the large gorilla with intelligence and speech (with a very noticeable cockney accent!). Solomon is quick with the quips yet is a faithful teammate and along with the robot manservant Pneuman is responsible for handling the neverending torrent of mail from the Strongmen of America (Tom's fanclub). |

travelling surfboard and ends up trapped with dozens of other alternate
reality doppellgangers. It's a chance to see infinite (well, maybe not
infinite but pretty damn close!) variations of this charming character and
a great feast for the eyes of any gorilla enthusiast, eh wot? |
