Jitter
|
Jitter was featured in Famous Funnies from 1936-1943 in a silent 4 panel strip where the rambunctious chimp routinely got himself in trouble. The strip was created by Arthur Poinier and stands out for it's fine artwork and comedic stories. When he enlisted in the Navy in World War II, the strip was abandoned and Poinier did not return to comics after his tour was over. Later becoming an editorial cartoonist, Arthur Poinier spent 30 years at the Detroit News. |
