 GleekGleek is the elasti-monk companion of Zan and Jayna, better known as The Wonder Twins, who under the tutelage of the Super Friends, seek to become full fledged heroes. While Jan and Zana can transform themselves to combat evil all Gleek can do is use his stretchy tail to fly (much like a helicopter). In fact he is more hindrance than help but he is good for a chuckle or two. |

After negotiating for their freedom with a terrified Dentwil, the trio returned to Exxor, planning to settle in the Fejanian wilderness where they could live undisturbed. While exploring the area they came upon a camouflaged house that was being used as a secret base by Grax, one of Superman's foes. The Wonder Twins and Gleek headed for Earth and told the Super Friends of the fiendish plot to destroy the planet. After, they decided to remain on Earth where they could be accepted as something other than carnival freaks. |

Gleek first met the Wonder Twins back on their home planet of Exxor. The Twins had been orphaned in a terrible plague and ended up in a traveling carnival, becoming the property of Dentwil. During their time at Trans World Shows the two befriended Illik the Laughmaker, who made an effort to educate them . Illik was also the original owner of Gleek and according to Zan, the blue elasti-monk was "..actually..the big attraction".
As the years passed the Wonder Twins grew uncomfortable with the terms of their servitude and hatched a plan to escape. Unknown to Dentwil, the Twins' powers were more than an amusing trick. During a show, Zan became a menacing storm cloud and Jayna, a bestial Sarmenen; the crowd
panicked and fled but goofy little Gleek leapt on Jayna's back, undisturbed by her transformation.
