1 whole Bay leaf   =  1/4 tsp cracked bay leaves 

1 tsp seasoning salt = 1/2 tsp table salt plus dash of garlic, onion and celery salts or powders 

2 tsp Beef stock base (instant)  = 1 beef bouillon cube                         

4 tsp Beef stock base (instant)  = 1 can (10 1/2 ounces) condensed, dissolved undiluted beef bouillon or consumme'  in 1 1/4 cups water        

1 cup Broth, beef = 1 bouillon cube dissolved in 1 cup boiling water

- 1 cup bread flour = 1 cup all-purpose flour plus 1 tsp wheat gluten.

- 1 cup ketchup = 1 cup tomato sauce, 1 tsp vinegar & 1 tbsp sugar.

1 tsp Allspice  = 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1/2 tsp ground cloves

1 tsp Apple pie spice  =  1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp nutmeg and 1/8 tsp cardamom
