No Bake

 Cookies

 

CHOCOLATE  PEANUT BUTTER  KRISPIE  BALLS

(NO BAKE)

1 cup peanut butter
1 cup icing sugar
1/2 cups chopped nuts
1/2 cup rice krispies
4 oz semisweet chocolate
1 tbs margarine
 
Mix first four ingredients together & chill in fridge for 10 to 15 minutes. Roll into balls.  Melt chocolate with butter & dip the balls in the chocolate, Chill & let set.
 
 

SPECIAL K KRISPY PEANUT BUTTER BALLS

1 cup Karo syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cupwhite sugar
Pinch of salt
1 1/2 cups Peanut butter
5 cups Special K cereal
 
Put Karo syrup, brown sugar, & white sugar in a BUTTERED saucepan and heat slowly until sugars are completely dissolved. Bring syrup to a boil.
Add salt.
Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter until dissolved.
Pour mixture over Special K.
Drop by rounded teaspoon onto waxed paper.
 
Variation:  Add 1 cup chocolate chips to hot syrup, stir until chocolate is melted, then add the Special K cereal.
 
 

CONNIE'S  CHOCOLATE  FUDGE  BALLS

(No bake)

3 squares unsweetened chocolate
3 tbs butter
1/3 cup mashed potatoes
1/8 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups icing sugar
3/4 cup finely chopped walnuts
 
Melt chocolate & butter in microwave.  Add potatoes, salt & vanilla.  Mix well.  Blend in icing sugar, one cup at a time & thoroughly mix & knead gently.  Shape into small balls & roll in crushed walnuts.  Set on wax paper, let set & dry before storing.
 
 

CHOCOLATE  ROLLED  OAT  COOKIES

(No Bake)

Rolled Oat Mixture:
Put in a large bowl:
2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
set these aside.
 
Syrup:
Put in a saucepan:
1 cup butter or margarine
2 cup sugar
1/2 cup cream or canned milk
1 tsp vanilla
 
Boil Syrup ingredients for 1 minute.  Pour over the rolled oat mixture, mix well.  Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a waxed paper.  Let set.  (These freeze very well)
 
VARIATION 2: ADD 2 CUPS PEANUT BUTTER.
 
 

GWEN'S  YUM  YUM  KRISPIES

(No Bake)

Put in a large bowl:
10 cups Rice Krispies
 
Melt in the microwave
3 tbs butter or margarine
1 pkg butterscotch baking chips (abt 3/4 cup)
2 pkg chocolate baking chips (abt 3 & 1/2 cups)
 
Stir in 
1 & 1/2 cup peanut butter to the chocolate mixture, mix well. Pour over the Rice Krispies & mix well.  Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a wax paper.  Let set.    (These freeze very well)
 
 

NUTCHOS

(No bake

 
2 (10 oz) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (10 oz) pkg peanut butter chips
2 cups salted peanuts
7 oz box ripple potato chips, coarsely crumbled
 
In the microwave, melt the chocolate & peanut butter chips.  Stir in peanuts & crumbled chips.  Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a waxed paper.  Cool, let set.
Store in the refrigerator.
 
(Freezes well)    Makes about 48 cookies
 
 

MOCHA  BALLS

No bake

1 cup peanut butter
1 cup icing sugar 
2 tbs margarine
3/4 cup walnuts, chopped
1/4 cup dates, chopped
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp almond extract
 
Blend above ingredients together & form into small balls. Dip balls in icing. Chill until set. These little balls are delicious and dainty.
 
Icing:
6 tbs icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla
hot coffee to moisten, (make quite thin)
 
 
 

 RUM BALLS

No bake

6 oz semi sweet chocolate
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 tsp salt
 
2 cups vanilla wafer crumbs
1/4 cup rum
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup cocoa
1 cup icing sugar
1 cup chopped walnuts
 
Melt chocolate, add sour cream & salt.  Let set.  Roll Graham crumbs to very fine.  Mix rum, butter, cocoa, sugar, nuts & crumbs.  Combine & roll into balls, then roll into the melted chocolate
 
 

PEANUT  BUTTER  CHOCOLATE  OAT  DROPS

(No Bake)

Put in a large bowl:
3 & 1/2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup dates (finely chopped) (optional)
set these aside.
 
Put in a saucepan:
1 cup butter or margarine
2 cup sugar
1/2 cup cream or canned milk
1 cup peanut butter
1 pkg semi sweet chocolate squares (8 oz)
1 tsp vanilla
 
Boil first 3 ingredients for 1 minute.  Remove from heat & add peanut butter & semi sweet chocolate & vanilla and stir until melted & smooth. Pour over the rolled oat mixture, mix well.  Drop by tspfuls onto a waxed paper.  Let set. (These freeze very well)
 
 

RECESS  PEANUT  BUTTER  BALLS

(No Bake)

 
1 cup peanut butter 
2 cup icing sugar
3 level tbs butter or margarine (a bit more if dates & nuts are added)
1 tsp vanilla
 
Blend above ingredients together until they hold their shape when rolled into balls.  If they seem a little crumbly, add more margarine.  Now roll into small balls & set on wax paper.
 
1 pkg semi sweet chocolate squares.
1 tsp butter or margarine
 
Melt the pkg of semi sweet chocolate squares & 1 tsp butter in the microwave.  Dip the
balls and place on a waxed paper.  Let set. These are delicious & freeze very well.   Makes   approximately 3 dozen.
 
 

 DATE & NUT PEANUT  BUTTER  BALLS

(No Bake)

1 cup peanut butter 
2 cup icing sugar
3 level tbs butter or margarine (a bit more if dates & nuts are added)
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup walnuts, finely chopped
1 cup dates, finely chopped
 
Blend above ingredients together until they hold their shape when rolled into balls.  If they seem  a little crumbly, add more margarine.  Now roll into small balls & set on wax paper.
 
1 pkg semi sweet chocolate squares.
1 tsp butter or margarine
 
Melt the pkg of semi sweet chocolate squares & 1 tsp butter in the microwave.  Dip the
balls and place on a waxed paper.  Place a walnut piece on top of each ball. Let set. These are delicious & freeze very well.   Makes approximately 2 to 3 dozen. 
 
 

CHINESE NOODLE DROPS

No Bake

 
1 pkg butterscotch chips
1 pkg chocolate chips
1 tsp butter or margarine
1 cup walnuts or cashews
1 can of Chinese dry noodles
 
Melt the butterscotch chips, chocolate chips & butter in the microwave. Remove from microwave & add the nuts & noodles.
Drop from a tsp onto wax paper.  Let set.
 
 
 

SURPRISE BALLS

No Bake

1/2 cup butter
3 & 1/3 cup icing sugar
1 tsp orange juice
1/2 cup coconut (fine)
Maraschino cherries, well drained
1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
 
Mix the 1st five ingredients. Roll into balls.  Make a hole in the center of each with your finger & then hide a cherry in the center and then roll in graham crumbs.  Set balls on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper.  Put in fridge to set.
 
(These can also be dipped in chocolate after they have set.) They freeze very well.
