Author John Axe is a widely recognized and respected authority in the doll and collectible toy hobby. He is the author of many books in the field, including The Encyclopedia of Celebrity Dolls and The Magic of Merrythought. He has had hundreds of articles about collecting appear in several publications, including Doll Reader and Teddy Bear and Friends magazines. John has spent years researching facts and documentation and has traveled all over the United States, Canada and Europe to research and photograph the material he uses in his books and articles.

John Axe has been an active member of the United Federation of Doll Clubs, Inc. for many years and has one many prizes in competitive exhibits for his paper dolls of vintage characters and costumes.

Connie Harrell has collected Kewpie artwork and original items for 34 years. She has belonged to the International Rose O'Neill Club for over 35 years and served as international president in 1982-84.
