Meetings
The Saskatoon Glassworkers' Guild meets from September to May on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:30 PM. Meetings are held in the basement of the Girl Guide House, 801 Preston Ave., Saskatoon Saskatchewan unless otherwise noted. Other activities and events can be at any other time of the year.
Guests are welcome. If you have any questions you can email us.
At Guild meetings we:
- notify the membership about tours and exhibitions;
- present demonstrations of new glassworking materials, equipment and techniques for discussion;
- provide access to our extensive library;
- request feedback from the membership on events, and guild financial issues.
- collect annual membership dues.
- discuss, announce, and collect registration fees for workshops;
- hobnob with other members over coffee, tea and cookies.
We publish a newsletter containing information about upcoming activities as well as a variety of other information and articles of interest to glassworkers. Nine issues are published annually fromSeptember and May.
Our Library contains more than 700 books, magazines, DVD's and glass samples for members to use, and continues to grow. Library materials can be signed out by members and returned at the next meeting.
