Benjamin Selway Horler and Lucy Carver brought their family to Canada from England about 1907 and settled in Ottawa, Ontario.

I've gathered my information from the 1881 and 1891 census, England as well as from the generous help of Tony Meighan and the members of the HORLER ONE NAME STUDY Group.
[Be careful when using transcribed data to research family information. The hand written 1881 census can be hard to read and the transcribed version showed Edmund's name as Edward. It was only by researching the 1891 census the I found Edmund at the same address.]
My ancestral roots are as follows (I think...):

Benjamin Horler & Lucy Carver b.1870s
Edmund Horler & Anna Selway b.1840s
John Horler & Jane Gullick b.1810s
Isaac Horler & Mary Plummer b.1780s
Richard Horler & Mary Britten b.1740s
Abraham Horler & Martha Maggs b.1710s
George Horler & Hannah ?? b.1680s
Jeremiah Horler & Lydia ?? b.1660s

Due to the on-going research for some of the oldest names and dates, some adjustment may still need to be made.

Thanks for visiting and all the best from the West Coast of Canada.

If you are a Horler or related to one send an email hello or sign my guest book.

Thanks to Mary Cooper and Tony Meighan for your help.

A lot of help came from Tony Meighan's HORLER ONE NAME STUDY PAGE. The group members have been wonderful and patient. I would highly recommend joining this group. They can be reached at the link below.
